Can the defense be fixed?

Trying to ignore that ref situation. The defense was completely awful in the second half. Couldn't ever get off the field on key situations. One stop was a chip shot miss by UGA. Had them pinned twice and let them easily just run every play down to our RedZone. Do we even have the players to prevent this in a possible rematch? lOS looks like a big advantage for UGA still. I think Keelon will be better but man just don't have faith in the defense

Not while Kane is here. This is exactly what he wants.
We held them to 20 points, but they sucked all the time off the clock
Kane will tell you nothing is wrong

Hard to fix anything when the refs frick you on every play

Kane is on borrowed time in my eyes.

Yes defense can be fixed by this simple plan laid out clearly in a step by step process.
Step 1: Remove Dijon Lee from the roster.
Done! That was pretty easy.

It’s not a player problem. It’s a coordinator and scheme problem just like several former players under Pruitt and Smart have said..

Do we still have a weight room?

We do not have a shut down type of defense. We have a containment based defense, the one that plays into the analytics game. I am very surprised at how genuinely bad our secondary is this year. They were supposed to be the strength of our defensive unit this year. Very disappointed in Lee’s losing his cool and costing a chance to win the game. Attitude problem however, with him, has been there for a few weeks now if one will look back on film.

I think our defense is gonna be great against Everykne but UGA and Ohio State. We are gonna have to outscore those 2 teams to beat them.
Their OL stonewalled our DL and pass rush and Stockton made some throws in the tiniest of windows.

That cannot set the edge on Power 4 teams.

And the issue is right now at least we don't scare a good secondary that much down the field. Couldn't even get a shot tonight cause of 2 high

No. This is how they will be. Sometimes they’ll play well and do some great things. Other times they will be awful.

Freddie Roach and David Ballou should be, as well.

I have no idea why he has lasted this long.
They bought him a DL because he can't develop players.

No. It's Womack's bullshite scheme. 3 300 pounders who can't pass rush on the line plus #0 who can't do it by himself. Linebackers are solid but often get swallowed up due to aggressiveness. 3/4 of the secondary are playing below average. The defense gets gashed every game. I think his scheme is fundamentally flawed.

Yes, among other things. I miss the days of an attacking defense. It’s even made worse when I look across the field and see our old scheme that Kirby brought to Georgia. But, those are the old days. We have a very good team that will learn from tonight, especially our quarterback. I am really high on Keelon, and he will learn from this game.

We allowed 10 points in the first half, and 10 in the second, against a team that is averaging like 50 points a game. They weren't bad. I think that our mistake was not running the ball enough. Its Grubb's flaw. We actually have a run game this year that can bully anyone around. Yet we dont ride it. We ran for 5.6 ypc, which was more than Georgia's ypc. Yet they let their rbs run and it was the difference. We have some really fricking good running backs.

Yes. But dammit, I wanna see Griffin and Edward’s on the field more.

Hard to run when you don't have the ball because the defense never gets off the field. Forced zero punts in the second half and was gashed for 455 yards with 206 on the ground.
Offense only got the ball for 3 possessions in the second half. Which made that non PI call back breaking

We held the best offense in the SEC to 20 points. Didn't get any bounces. It happens. Bama is going to be OK. Just focus on UT next Saturday.
