bullshite. Coach might have “plenty of time” but this ain’t about time it’s about money and apparently we can’t match what some other schools are willing to pay.

Maybe people will finally drop the naïveté and understand this. And a little secret … it’s been like this for a lot longer than people think.

I am not blaming this or anything on coach at all. I will say this, he needs a win soon. Striking out on T-Rob, all the portal departures, not to mention the decommitments since his arrival. He needs to do something to say, "I have arrived and I am here to win."

You’re right I totally agree it’s definitely a shite show.

Even if the rules changed next month, it's too late for us. We are the ones that get to suffer this nonsense, and then the rules change and Kirby will be able to leave UGA without a significant roster set back... just annoying. I always chuckled when everyone said CFB had been ruined because I thought it was still fun. At this point, I'm trending to the 'ruined' perspective. How can I even cheer for players when I have no idea if they are just gonna have a good season and then portal?

Hear me out folks.....

Hire Germy Proot to be our bagman for the NIL.

Then transfer him over to an on-field coaching role once his show clause is over.

The money is crazy right now. I read that Bond got a million from Texas. A freaking million. What’s Downs gonna cost someone, 2 million? More? Texas is paying Arch 3 mil to ride the pine.

This can’t be sustainable.

Has he even announced his staff? Do something.

Imagine spending all that money just to lose to DeBoer as the “Not Back” meter continues ticking away

Need someone smarter than Pruitt as a bagman. He totally fricked that up at Tennessee.

I know you're just joking, but bagmen are obsolete. It's out in the open now.

Agreed. Again, a tongue-in-cheek comment. Over the past week, everyone keeps pulling things back to Jeremy Pruitt as a hire.

This may come in the form of bringing in Jabbar Muhammad.

Here is the craziest part to me:

Imagine spending $3M to 'buy' a player, and then they get injured. Are you really gonna want to spend $3M on a player again?

Imagine spending $XXM like Ole Miss has in the portal in the hopes of 'buying' a Natty. Then you don't win a Natty. Are you really gonna want to spend $XXM again?

I think this landscape is self defeating. The NIL collective and boosters are purchasing something that's not guaranteed. At some point, your money isn't worth that chance anymore once enough of it has been squandered. And it damn sure isn't about players 'getting their fair share'.

Can anyone send a Bat symbol up for Arnold and let our NIL drop a bag for him.

Mostly kidding I know he’s going to get PAID in the NFL but would be great to bring back a leader that cares about the school and Saban’s legacy

Should he announce them before they're hired? He has to have time to get all his staff hired.

How many Jabbars are out there? Seems like we need about 6 at this point lol. Seems odd that we don't have the money to pay him. Ask the people at the running of the gumps to take a second mortgage on their trailers. Surely they wouldn't mind.

CFB has honestly been ruined, and it's really sad that ours is one of the first prolific rosters to suffer from the NIL/Portal nonsense in the offseason.
1000% this

Not asking anyone in the sport to feel bad for us but the most legendary program in history, currently near the top of the sport, is about to be destroyed by opportunistic opponents and Lamborghinis.

Even our most hateful rivals, and hopefully people in the media, will see that this is a massive pivot from what was intended.

I see he is visiting Texas. Have to hope he really wants to play for Deboer. Because we aren’t going to outbid Texas if they really want him.

Let’s say Downs goes to Ohio state and they fire Day after next year. Plausible that Downs could end up back at Alabama. Crazy world.
But the reality is, Downs, aside from a major injury, will play on Sundays regardless of where he plays his college ball. He knows this.
Oddly, I think this is going cause colleges to retain some coaches for longer than they would like based off roster.
This shite is wide open.
