Pretty sure Oats said NIL has priority over a new building.

No shite. You win with recruiting, as every college coach knows. And if I am a player, I would rather play games down at the Rec Center than Coleman Coliseum, “Bryce Arena,” or frickin’ Madison Square Garden if it means more money is going in my pocket.

It is time for a new arena. It was very dated when I was a student in the 90s. 12,000 seats would be just about right. Coleman and Stegman at UGA are the two worst in the SEC. It has to be a priority. The costs for it are only going to go up

Why the women coach?

Because KC was not happy about Men's BB getting bigger and better facilities than Women's BB, there is a battle going on behind the scenes. Women's BB is the center of the holdup, not $$.

Why would the women's team not get to play in a new facility? That makes no sense.

You do realize the new arena isn’t just for men’s basketball, right?

Yep, I know that, and I also know that WBB is directly responsible for the hold up.

If WBB is going to play in the new arena, why and how is KC holding up the effort to build the new arena?

Thanks

If true, fire her. Pay the $87 buyout or whatever and hire somebody that's on board.

Sounds like facilities aren't the issue they want a bigger slice of the NIL pie

NIL allocation makes a lot more sense if they're complaining about something, but that still doesn't explain how the women's basketball coach can apparently single-handedly block the construction of a new arena. That doesn't add up.

Put the blue hairs half way up and the students on the floor, imo

I haven’t been a student since 1996 and I wholeheartedly agree. I don’t need to be near the court. Let the students have the first 5-10+ rows on the sides and the first 20+ behind the baskets.

9500 Cameron seats. It is like being in a HS gym with the seats basically at the edge of the court. The Cameron Crazies make it a loud atmosphere and not sure I have experienced anywhere else like it. It was not until 2002 or 03 that AC was put in. It was so hot in there with that many people crammed in such a tight space.

In the end zones, the rows start at like row 12 so row 20 is like row 9 really

Not counting the floor seats
