Dang. Was hoping we'd get one more year of wondering if he could ever reach a starting position . . .
I think a smaller school will be good for him - like UAB, Troy, USA, or even Jack. State.
Good luck to the young man.

Rumor was he didn't like contact, at least early on in his career at Bama. Who knows if that is true,
It’s not true. Just ask yourself this. Why play football, ILB at that, if you don’t like contact? He might not have been the best at his position or any other position but he showed up for practice and did everything that was asked of him.

Yeah like I said, I don't know if that was true or not because I never watched him in practice. I do know it was rumored and message board fodder during his first couple of years. But anytime a 5 star player comes in and doesn't live up to the fans' expectation, people try and rationalize why (which is usually unfair to the kids).
But I also know that it definitely wasn't the case last past couple of years because I was able to actually see him on the field. I think he handled himself great while he was here, and I appreciate everything he did for the team.

If I was Ben I would transfer to Vandy, Duke or Stanford to finish up whatever degree I needed for my future.

What exactly was his problem?
Being overrated or peaking early. It happens, and might not even be his fault. Nothing but respect for the kid for sticking it out.

Didn’t he play at the 1A level too?

He went to Gordo, which I believe is 4A.

Sort of like Tyler Love and BJ Scott. All five stars who never played much

Surely he could find a starting spot at a UT, Kansas, or Duke type team. He could still make a name for himself by leading a bad team in tackles, etc.

For a guy who probably didn't play shite in h.s., you talk a lot of shite about our players. Why???

What exactly was his problem? #1 ILB. TOP 10 PLAYER?
I mean, there's hundreds of examples of 5 star guys not working out in college. I'm sure an LSU fan can name every 5 star bust we've had.
