They got the big hit early. Tennessee had two outs with no one on in the first. Then single, HBP, HBP, grand slam.

A timely hit but it’s going to take more than that next week.

This is the same thing that always happens.

Carried by great pitching.

We need a lot of LUCK on our side.

Girls are still underdeveloped offensively under MURPHY. It's sickening. I literally saw girls swinging just to swing.

This is clearly evident over many years. I think we’ve benefited from the fact that there really isn’t an established professional softball league that players are trying to get to. Can hide some of the development issues and makes it a bit less important when recruiting kids. No softball draft numbers to point to.

This team probably didn’t deserve to host a regional, and here they are in the WCWS again! Truly amazing job by the girls and hope they can find a way to win a couple since our pitchers are healthy this year!

A&M just did the same thing Mizzou did. Down to their last 2 outs and hit a 3R HR to get the tying run to the plate.

Just gives the pitcher time to reset and no concern for runner on.

Crowd not nearly as loud during the next hitter, and lazy pop out. Walked the next hitter though, so crowd starting to get loud again. Tight finish here

Texas punched their ticket. LSU and Stanford playing for the last spot to open against #1 Texas.

Never in my wildest dreams! So used to Alabama not being the underdog and for these girls to go into a rivals ballpark with a trip to the World Series on the line and win against all odds is absolutely amazing! Good luck girls in the WCWS! FWIW... spoiled by the success this team has had over the years and become very frustrated watching these talented players not know how to manage the plate... nevertheless, to win this series too smarts, guts, and a major league desire to win! Congrats to a team I thought might not win their regional! Back on the Murphy train but please, please get a hitting coach for next year.

Well great. I guess we're assured at least 3 more years with Patrick Murphy if he wants them.

Stanford run ruled LSU. Field is set with 3 Big-12, 2 SEC, 2 PAC-12, and 1 ACC

Next year this field would be 4 SEC, 2 ACC, 1 Big Ten, 1 Big-12. Wild.

Only a fool would want to replace a coach that produces competitive teams every single year and never does anything to embarrass the university.

We are stuck with him Joka. I’ve accepted it. Even tho I would argue Softball is the #3 sport at Alabama(behind Football and MBB) in terms of fan support and importance it doesn’t make any money…so as long as Murphy is competitive Byrne isn’t gonna fire him.

Byrne should highly recommend he hire a decent hitting coach.
