He really wasn't even actually criticizing him... probably not a good response. No matter what you think of McShay, it kinda comes across as someone not willing to take criticism. Won't really affect anything, but he should probably think before commenting.

Great player. Not sure about his personality though.

What exactly is wrong with his personality? I don't really see any issue with refusing to be deferential or respectful to a couple of clowns like Todd McShay and Mel Kiper whose total combined experience in professional football scouting is the 6 months that McShay was an intern. They make millions of dollars as "experts" despite being literally no more qualified than you or I to evaluate talent, and it should be called out more than it is.

Their scouting report on Najee is spot on. He doesn't have elite top end speed. Najee knows this though. It is the reason he has not ran a 40 yd dash. He just didn't like that it was pointed out. Mcshays job is to do a good scouting report on players. Everybody has a weakness. Telling people to kiss your arse isn't a great response to that. Showing up at pro day and running a great time, then saying kiss my arse is more acceptable.
As far as mcshay goes, the vast majority of what he posts isn't his opinion. It's stuff coming from nfl scouts and former scouts ESPN has hired. All he is is a mouthpiece with the right look. Their breakdowns of players are usually point on.

He's not kissing the media's arse and is being honest and laid back on these podcasts.
I'm sure the "You got to run da ball harder" hit a little to close to home for some ppl.
I think the honest and frank opinions are refreshing. It's not the status quo politic correct standard parroted comments you normally see.

His opinions in the run the ball harder interview was not what rubbed people the wrong way. It was him mocking southern accents that people didn't appreciate.
Answers like he gave about his scouting report are going to be brought up by teams in interviews. Look at the world professional athletes have top3 live in. Everything they do and say is picked apart, disected, and turned around. Teams don't want to deal with pr distractions. The draft is in 20 days. His agent needs to tell him to shut down public interviews, shake hands, kiss babies, and all the rest of the bullshite until you get a contract. I love honesty as well and Najee is one of my favorite players ever, but right this second, for Najee, it's not a smart move.

I said I'm not sure about his personality. I didn't say his personality is wrong.
I don't necessarily disagree with what he says but at times I think he can have better delivery. Its something he will learn as he grows up. He is still young but with the responsibility, endorsements and money coming his way, He will have to learn quicker than most.

They just played Najee Harris’ interview on the Schefter podcast on the radio. Najee is pretty damn funny

I haven't seen that yet. But I did hear some guys at ESPN actually talk about his personality, positively. They were talking about his draft status and were mentioning the usual stuff they say about running backs in the draft. Then out of nowhere they said how much they liked his personality. I guess this is why.

Kiper says the 49ers have made their decision on drafting Mac Jones No. 3 overall (247)

If Mac goes #3 there's going to be a lot of hate directed towards him...which is ridiculous. 49er fans on social media have been complete a$$es. I wish they'd get stuck with Fields. I'd actually rather see him go somewhere else that would appreciate a NC winning QB that just had the best college season in history IMO.
I'd like to see him in New Orleans, but that's probably not feasible. New England would be a good spot, but I don't want to see him having to be in the QB room with Tranny Newton.

Yeah I don't want him to go to SF just because of their fans. I hope they get 1 read fields or 1 game a year trey lance. I think the best fit for him is NE or PIT

The 49ers are well-managed and well-coached and Mac is a great fit for their offense. So I hope they do draft him. Their stupid fans will learn they were wrong to want a different QB drafted.
I want Tua, Jalen & Mac to all be very successful in the NFL. That'd help our QB recruiting a lot.

The AU hate is strong in this one.

Newton is one of the rare Awbarn players that supersedes the hate quotient Bama fans have for his school. Just a talented guy.
