Nah, you're thinking like a gold digging whore.

He's a freshman with no clear path to playing time. He hasn't shown the maturity to make anyone think he will make the right decisions needed to maximize his potential.

He hasn't even made it onto campus yet. He may never make it onto campus. Alabama or otherwise. And we're talking about some other dude taking the fall for him on the miniscule chance that he makes millions of dollars at some point like 5 years from now? Are you high?

So let me understand what you are saying the "right" thing is lying about who it belongs to. OK to each his own.

Did I say anything about lying? For all we know, the stuff could all belong to the other guy. Tony Mitchell seemed confident that the guy would own up to it belonging to him.

Taking the fall that quite possibly should have been his to begin with? At the very least, he was likely the instigator behind the whole fiasco. If not, we didn't vet Tony Mitchell very well. True, it's no sure thing Tony Mitchell would go on to the NFL, but 5 star DBs ranked as highly as him have done well under Saban.

Evidently, most people or those that responded understood it the same way that I did. Maybe that's not what you meant to say, BUT it is the way it came across. Have a great day. RTR

My belief based on the police video of Tony Mitchell, and the evidence so far, is that the weed, etc. was the passenger's. At the very least, Tony Mitchell was aware of what was going on, but his "friend" had assured him he would take the heat if they were caught. Tony genuinely seemed to think the guy would fess up. Incredibly poor judgement anyway you slice it.

Friends like that, you don't need enemies. If he is influenced that easily by speeding 140+ MPH and lets someone in HIS car that deals in drugs, he has a lot of growing up to do.

A drug dealer……lying???? No way! Lol, Tony Mitchell never needs to be allowed on campus. He can get a shot at playing time somewhere else in college. We have too many young men making the right choices to let him be part of what we have.

Agree 100% This is not the normal for all kids. Often times the excuse is all teens make bad decisions. That is not the case. I think the majority make good decisions.

I'm sure he does have a lot of growing up to do. 18 yr old kids frequently have appallingly bad judgement. I can see where one bad decision could lead to a series of bad ones. That's why it's so important to weigh every decision carefully. You have to think the coaches are going to use this case to try to get that point across to their athletes. One bad decision could change the course of their lives. It happens to someone on the team just about every year (not this extreme, thankfully).

I'd go with Little at safety and Moore at star. Little looks really impressive patrolling the back end. Moore has always been good in that blitz package. I like him closer to the line of scrimmage.

I agree on Moore. He is an excellent blitzer. Definitely better as a box defender.
