Garrett Riley, (like his brother) is probably skeered to coach against SEC competition. Clemson plays a much easier slate than Bama.

Well it’s probably hard to interview for an OC job if there’s already an OC on that staff?

Sounds like Golding to OM is starting to heat up, and could happen sooner rather than later. The Ole Miss 247 board is already reporting that they believe both of OM's Co-DCs are getting canned to go along with the CB coach that just left for Purdue. The Ole Miss folks feel like Golding could be announced sometime over the weekend. We'll see I guess, but if Pete does go to OM, he'll be able to have a say is a couple of the defensive staff hires at OM.

I see Clemson is moving to get Garrett Riley as their OC while remain stuck with O’Brien for now.
EDIT: Y’all have already beat me to it. I’m sort of pissed, to be honest. Clemson can fire their OC and hire another one on the same day we still have butt chin.

You want Saban to hold a press conference announcing who he’s going after for OC or something? BOB is gone, his contract is up.

The NFL regular season just ended, and teams are just now starting to interview coaches. Give it a little time for BOB to interview for some teams. I would think that if he was staying then he would've resign a new contract already before his current one expires.

No, just seems like there just aren’t even any rumblings out there about potential new OCs. Obviously I know that Saban may be talking to guys and we just don’t know about it. I’m just starved for information more than usual because I want to see changes so badly.

As a 49ers fan I dont know how i feel about Ryans. Is he the product of great players or is it his play calling? Obviously i would love to have him back just seems like NFL guys want to be there and not college.

Ryans already has a couple of NFL HC interviews set up after the playoffs. He ain't coming to Bama as DC - maybe HC after Saban. With his ability to coach D, I think he is an attractive candidate.
