Congrats Will. That’s an outstanding achievement.

Football Places Four on AFCA All-America Teams, Anderson Jr. Named Unanimous All-American
Anderson Jr. became a unanimous All-American with his first-team selection while Battle, McKinstry and Byron Young were tabbed to the organization’s second team

Will got stone walled by both UT’s and LSU’s (freshmen tackles on each side) offensive lines.

No Eli Ricks in the first round.....wonder if he will consider coming back. IMO he should as he really didn't play all that much and NFL teams will use that to justify taking him later.

I disagree. They were decent until BoB was given the ability to make roster moves. BoB is the reason they have such a depleted roster. The good thing is, they have draft picks.
I still remember when he traded Hopkins to Arizona for a David Johnson out of his prime, a 2nd and a 4th.
That was literally "the greatestt trade in the history of the Arizona Cardinals". BoB is a laughing stock and a hack.

I think the problem at UT was on the interior of our D line.
Their QB stood 4 steps behind the line of scrimmage. The interior of our D line did nothing to make the QB uncomfortable. That makes it a lot easier on the tackles to block. Our QB drops way back to see over the line, and that puts the two tackles out there almost on an island to hold off an elite pass rusher. Before Ga played Tn Kirby made a statement about needing to not let the TN QB stand 4 steps behind the center and throw the ball. He said they had to push the line back and make him uncomfortable. They put the heat on him right up the middle.

So when do we start practice for the bowl game. It has to be soon, doesnt it. We should know if any players opt out before that day.

I believe practice begins on Friday.

I hope we don't. Don't want KSU to know who is going to suit up for the bowl.

Don't think we'll know until few days before bowl game.

I would argue that Will’s disappearance in big games is the reason he shouldn’t be anybody’s All American. Consensus or otherwise. I would rather have another Ryan Anderson than Will Anderson.
The NFL scouts will likely see what I saw, that SEC officials essentially legalized holding against him to keep Alabama from destroying the TV ratings. Money trumps everything, fairness, morality, integrity, sensibility, loyalty.

Byrce has an interesting opportunity to put separation between him and Stroud by playing in the bowl game. Stroud has to play UGA. If he struggles and they lose, while Bryce rips up this TCU defense, it could help his case for #1 QB.

This is great news, especially if Bryce opts out. Would have sucked to burn a redshirt for Ty Simpson to be able to have him for the bowl game.
