Here's a preview:
"There goes Jermaine Burton. Jermaine. Burton. Jermaine Burtooonn! Touchdoooown Tide!"

Replace the names, but all his calls seem identical to me.

He’s not my favorite, but he’s one of biggest names in broadcasting now and I think it’ll be cool to hear him call a Bama game.

Sean McDonough and Todd Blackledge are my favorites but I’ve heard them call a bunch of our games. Same with Kirk and Chris, Brad and Gary, and all the ESPN guys.

The fact that he's loud isn't really what bothers me. It's the fact that he's always so eager to scream into his microphone that he starts to get hyped up for big plays before they even happen. The dude is ready to blow his wad while the ball is still in the air on any pass beyond 20 yards.

Nah, make that 10/15 yards.

I understand he has a lot of passion, but he's overdoing it...by a mile

Have we discussed tomorrow's high temperature in Austin will be 95 degrees?

Thanks, Fox.

I like Gus Johnson a lot on basketball. I don't get the fascination with football. I also think Klatt is actually pretty good on games.

Here's the hourly forecast from NOAA. Based on this forecast, at what time would you prefer them to play the game? It appears an 11am CT start might actually be the best, from a heat perspective.

Klatt is becoming one of the better analysts and announcers imo

Has moments where I roll my eyes sure, but most of his commentary and takes are pretty solid

Jase, who grew up and played in Aledo, about 3 hours away from Austin, said the conditions are actually worse in Alabama through fall camp than back home

I just remember him and Cowherd saying that, “Alabama has a Nick Saban problem.”

Definitely think he’s better just being the color guy calling games.

Which he later publicly acknowledged he was 100% wrong about. In this day and age that says something about somebody IMHO.

Cowherd had no problem apologizing because he never believed it in the first place.

Cowherd is just a performer.

I’ll say it

I really really like the Gus Johnson/Joel Klatt announce team. Johnson’s style is gonna piss off a lot of Bama fans tomorrow, but he is gonna paint Saban, Young, Anderson, and the Alabama program as the Gods of CFB

FOX is ecstatic about having us on tomorrow. They've even been adding Alabama into all their general college football promos in the late summer.

They'll be lapping us up.

As someone who grew up in South Alabama and lived In Aledo for over 10 years... Jase is absolutely correct.
