I still don’t have it either. Went and got a generator Saturday so it hasn’t been as bad since Saturday night. Would love a hot shower though

this DJ Douglas from Thompson, that got pt saturday night. Is he a walk-on? it said he was a redshirt frosh. i looked on the 1st page and didnt see anything about him. even his roster pic on rt.com didnt say anything about walking on. i like to celebrate the walk-ons.

Yes. He’s a walk-on but admittedly there’s not much on him. An AL.com piece in August refers to Douglass as a walk-on. It’s also strange that his profile on Rolltide.com lists his hometown as Montgomery. But he went to Thompson.
I remember seeing him get in the game. There haven’t been too many walkons get on the field this early in their career (aside from specialists), so he must be doing something right.

I bought a generator 2-3 years ago and it has been a lifesaver. We have gas logs and a gas hot water heater, so it has been bearable.

Sylacauga got nailed pretty good. I, myself, live outside the city limits and I only lost a small pine and the top out of one of my oaks. No other damage.

I’m a little shocked it’s taking so long. After Michael, most of the people here in the FL panhandle had power back within 1-2 weeks unless you were in an outlying area. And that was with 70% of the trees in the area down and most of the power grid wiped out. They had to start from scratch. WTF is taking Alabama Power so long?

quote:I have no clue!! Been asking the same thing! The city I live closest to, Sylacauga, has its own utility company and are in with multiple cities of similar size that help each other out in times of need. Alabama Power has released some bullshite statement about how hard they are working and how many other states are helping but I haven't seen anything. You can't talk to anyone in their office anymore. Everything is damn automated now and it was even screwed up and telling me my power was on. It is a Cluster F***!!!

The only drop was the short pass from the backup which was thrown way too hard for the short distance it went. He made one great catch from a high pass from Mac and dropped none of his passes. I believe he had a diving catch from Mac vs State, but they didnt show a replay of it. Slade looks full of confidence. He is grinning from ear to ear every time they show him.

Lubbock, Texas is the only place in America with more than one electric utility company. The big consolidation/legalized monopoly happened over a century ago and we're still paying the price.

They are working in my driveway now. Fixing a down line. I asked the guy and he said I most likely have it back today.
I live on the Bon-Air side of Odena..I’m sure you know where thats at so if you live close to there you should be getting it back soon.

Holy cow, I had no idea so many Childersburg-area folks were on here. I grew up in C'burg, and in fact moved back there briefly earlier this year to renovate my parents' house after they passed away. Sold it in August, and I'm back in Birmingham now.
Hope y'all get your power squared away soon.

About 5+ miles from there. I'm right down from Lake Howard, headed into Sycamore.

I don't know about that. I lived in a large complex that was serviced by 2 different electric membership corps. It was very near the county line but as far as I know all within the same county, and the streets that each emc served in that complex sometimes seemed to make zero geographical sense.

You're going to hate this, but we're probably related.

DB. for some reason i'm thinking they confused him for Turnage, as far as the pt, but i'm just guessing.
