To be honest, it doesn't matter with Clemson. They play in a crap conference.

Coach Saban explaining the defense Alabama employed that resulted in the Pick Six. Hard for me to understand the football lingo but interesting nevertheless.

DeVonta Smith is now the highest graded WR in the nation via PFF with a 92.2 grade.

Bama is D-O-N-E without Waddle...

To be fair the offense has looked merely elite and not video game cheat code dominant without him, but of course being the UGA fanboy dipshit he is Pollack didn't account for the possibility that our defense might start playing better.

Slade definitely doesn't garner nearly enough attention as the motion man like Waddle, and I'm hoping Bama burns someone this year with that.

I think Mac took some shots of faith to Smith that might be risky against a better team. Smith deserves that level of faith with his production, but there were some well covered throws that might've been distributed to another read if Waddle was still out there.

I'm just hoping for a solid defensive performance coming out of the bye, just being technically sound can go far enough with this offense...

With all of our LA kids going back home, I think the defense will play lights out.

The better teams are going to double Devonta.

We're going to need Slade to step up and be a consistent threat.

Correction: We are going to need Mac Jones to make better reads... Slade was open couple times last night.

I think it is just a comfort level for Mac. He is very comfortable with Smith and was really comfortable Waddle. He needs to build that level of comfort with Slade which I think he will. Just takes some time.

Maybe he made the read however wasn't confident Slade would make the catch?

I wouldn't question Mac's ability to read. Slade however had some catches against rocky top last week but he also had a td drop.

Mac probably needs nore confidence that Slade will always make the play.

I do my best to just ignore Stephen M. Smith, because I know that he loves Bama and that he is trying to make a living.... Twice this year, I have accidentally clicked his articles because of the title and once I get there, I know who wrote it because it has nothing of substance. I don’t like him, but I’m more pissed off at myself because I don’t pay better attention. Dammit

I think it was more the fact that Alabama was paying a lot of respect to Miss State's defense. They were statistically the best defense in the SEC. Bama came out in 12 personnel, so they wanted desperately to establish the run and TOp against these guys. And they wanted maximum protection for Mac. When we had 3 wide, Devonta Smith was so darn hot and Sark got the mismatches he wanted he stayed with it. Metchie and Bolden knew what was going on.
