We've got some big dudes in the TE room.

At this point, take out one O-lineman and put in one of our TE's

They'd probably block better

I’m feeling sort of bummed thinking about how bad we seem to be now. The last 15 years have really spoiled me. Of course, other parts of life are much more important than Alabama football, but it’s been a real joy to watch them during this run. Doesn’t seem like we will get to feel that national championship feeling again anytime soon.

Let's take it one game at a time my man. Regardless of how things went last year and so far this year, i still believe in the GOAT. Y'all are acting like we have no chance. If there was a dominant team in the SECw this year I'd feel a lot worse about things, but damn, let's see how the season plays out before we start boohooing.

I will never comprehend this type of thinking.

Why do we have to endure a whole season before someone can make an honest assessment of how the team is performing? Why can’t we comment on how the team is performing currently? If they improve then I’ll say WOW, these guys have really improved and I was really wrong and worried for nothing. I do not get this wait and see approach, I think it’s lame.

You are making absolute predictions about the future. When we have the greatest college football coach of all time in our sidelines. Idk it just seems pretty dumb. Whenever anyone has anything positive, or hopeful to say, you and people like you cut them down in a condescending manner. It just gets old. We know that you think that this season is over 3 games into the season. We get it. It is well understood.

You can do whatever you want dude, clearly. No one is stopping you.

What seems dumber, to expect a team that has seriously struggled in the past two games, has no answer at Oline and QB, has a veteran DC that can’t even manage to get his play calls from the box to the field, has an OC that seems lost and can’t figure out how to to call plays based on the strengths of the players he has, to suddenly miraculously just get it together, or to expect the trend to continue?

Yeah, I’m pretty dumb.

The post you just referenced to was in response to this post:

Buchner looking thicc.

I don't know how you took that as me believing in Buchner. I've been pretty adamant from the start that he is the least talented QB on the roster.

That was never personally toward you. I was speaking of the general view and expectations.

When I posted that is was just a throwback. For example....

My point was simply that I say a lot of correct things on here and get a lot of hate for it so why not embrace their downvotes?

Yeah, we looked fantastic against LSU, FLA second half, and AU.

I know he's a freshman but the dude was the #1 rated OT in the country and has massively underwhelmed so far. I think when it's 3rd and long, literally every single play, they HAVE to line a TE with him because he's getting smoked every time.

Either that or line up another OT with him on his side. Yes, I'm serious.

OT, especially LT, is probably the most difficult position to move up a level in competition after QB and CB, so freshman struggles are to be expected regardless of talent level. Andre Smith and Cyrus Kouandjio are the only true freshman starters we have had at LT I can think of off the top of my head, and that was on a Shula team and a team with an otherwise stacked OL, respectively. Guys like Fluker, Leatherwood, Jonah, Neal, Latham, etc. who came in as top OT recruits all got the benefit of starting out elsewhere. So Proctor deserves patience, but he also needs to show some big improvements over the next few weeks because his performance so far has been pretty abysmal.

Whose fault is it Proctor gets killed on the edge on these passing downs?

Is it his for not have the quickness? He can't control that.

Who are the ones knowingly putting him out there to get roasted alive?

Who are the ones who know his weaknesses but have done nothing to address protecting him, the QB (and themselves) from them?

The same can be said for our QBs. Our OC is failing BADLY right now and it's why I have hammered on getting competent ones who actually know how to build a gameplan, how to attack weaknesses of each different team we face and how to protect our own as much as possible.

Take 10 points away from Milroe and he still has the highest points per drive. Not even mentioning the fact that the snaps he’s had were against significantly better defenses

They need to just move him to LG and let him learn next to Latham like we've done with other highly rated freshmen before him

You just continue to distance yourself from the competition for “dumbest poster on the Bammer board”
