There has to be something with him we’re not getting to see.

Wonder if he got himself into the doghouse somehow. I find it hard to believe that either Buchner or Simpson could be worse passers than what Milroe has shown. Never thought I would be straight up begging for either of these guys to start at this point in the season.

From everything I've read from people who have gone to practices, scrimmages, etc. Simpson makes one mistake and then starts to take big risks trying to make up for it, which only leads to even more mistakes. It's not a talent issue. QBs have to have very short memories though and he's not there.

I'll take it over what I saw Saturday.

But what it's gonna do? Two different generations.

I mean, guys who were drafted in 2017 or 2018 aren’t that old. They’re still fairly early in their NFL careers.

And pretty much all of them experienced losses and know how to bounce back and hold each other accountable. Not sure why this is a difficult concept to grasp.

Whatever personnel grouping we use Saturday, I hope to goodness we continue to run the whole offense throughout the entire game.

Assuming, that is, we're comfortably ahead in the second half.

If we're truly having a mini QB competition in the third game of the season, we have to let EVERY QB we play access the full playbook, so we can get a live-action look at who performs and who doesn't. Running the ball the entire fourth quarter with whoever is second or third on the depth chart won't accomplish squat in terms of identifying who can lead the team and who can't.

This one time, Saban needs to forget about not embarrassing an opponent and use this game to settle the questions about QB and OL.

On the flip side, if this game is still a game halfway through the third quarter, we've got even bigger problems.

Milroe was a project when Bama signed him. 3 years later and he is still a project. Trying to get a good QB to come with Bryce on the roster had to be difficult.

Drake Maye was initially committed to us in that class.

For the 2nd day in a row the practice footage released by the program did not show a single second of the QBs.

I have to believe that means Milroe isn’t going to be the only QB.

Indeed, and two different Nick Saban’s.

This.

Yet you know that's exactly what Saban would do. I've never seen a coach more scared of letting the backups run the offense to get real game experience.

Basically they need to rotate offensive series with Buchner and Simpson Saturday. We already know what Milroe is about and if we see him trotting out on to the fricking field Saturday to start I may lose my shite.

Prepare to lose your shite then. Hopefully Buchner and Ty get plenty of snaps Saturday but you're dreaming if you think Milroe won't play at all.

Makes sense. I think Saban instilling the "every drive that ends with a kick is a good drive" mindset kills our QB development. Guys either overcompensate for a mistake or they're terrified of making one.

That’s true if you have a legit defense. If you have a screen door D that’s not always true
