It’s a medical emergency. Sounds like it’s a worker. Somebody at the game is saying a worker died which is why it’s such a long delay. Obviously that’s not confirmed but that would make sense.

Twitter rumor is an ESPN producer had a heart attack. Don’t know how reliable that is. Sad.

Seeing that in a few places now

Sad situation if someone is critical or perhaps deceased. Way more important than a baseball game. That said, just one more obstacle for our boys to fight through.

per someone at the game he said it was an Espn person that had the medical situation on the field. No more details but said delay would be a while

That’s really, really sad. Hate to see a fun day of baseball turn like that, but praying for the person and their family.

Seeing a 12:45 CT start for today. Thoughts and prayers for the family of the person involved with the medical event.
Edit: 1:15 CT coming from the NCAA Baseball Twitter account

I can’t imagine his announce team being mentally fit to call the game either. I assume they spend a lot of time together. So sad

That’s a tough day at work for sure. Makes you think twice about how mentally tough military personnel have to be…those warriors just keep pressing on til the job is done with all kinds of collateral damage around them (and at their own risk). God bless summer baseball, our country, and our service men and women.

I hate the game didn’t start on time and may not be on tv now, but damn, I’m sure the espn team needs the day off, they just lost one of their brothers. Sucks for all of them and guy’s family.
Our first regional game was a late start so maybe we’ve have the same results.

Man that sucks. For all involved of course. Feel very bad for the person who had the medical condition.
On another note, our post season television coverage can’t catch a break.

Espn still has to produce it with their people to be on plus. So not sure anyone is getting the day off

Radio in B'ham?
Doesn't seem to be on any FM channel that I can find.
Correction:
Supposedly on 95.7 and 100.1, whatever those stations are in Birmingham
