Just curious- Does anyone know when Harrell is supposed to be healthy enough to play? He was supposed to be our JW replacement that can take the top off the defense.
We’ve been very critical (and rightly so) of the offensive play-calling this year, but I hope that getting a true speedster in the lineup will open some things up for us.

We have multiple speedster. I can't even understand this narrative that we don't have speed when Kobe, Binder, Jojo, etc are all playing and producing.

Prentice is especially impressive. He has big pay potential, and he is only going to get better and better, being a true freshman.

Yep - and Bond did some really great stuff Saturday, too. He did exactly what we've been wanting early on - just ran past guys deep, and then he had a really nice run after catch on a 2nd or 3rd and long where he turned right up field and wiggled for the first down.

And then JoJo's first touch of the season showed everything they've been excited about with him. Speed and elusiveness.

Group is starting to round into form. Really excited about them moving forward.

Prentice looks good and Bond looks like a slightly taller Waddle out there. Once he figures things out, he may be our next super-star WR.

As far as BOB...the run game we saw on Saturday after Bryce got hurt should be our staple offense. When Bryce comes back, let him throw off the run instead of trying to throw it 80% of the time. Our WR room isn't elite enough at this point to justify a pass first offense. With Seth at center and our RB's, we could have an absolutely dominant run game.

Just imagine it had been intercepted.

The ball got batted up and was oh so close to being intercepted. Saban was apoplectic and almost stroked out on the sideline.

...the offsides would have saved us, but the pig fans and most of our rivals fans would be screaming fix is in.

almost wish it had happened that way for the glorious melt that would have ensued.

I don’t think people understand what having Milroe at QB did to the defense. Watch Gibbs last TD. I believe it was 42 and 8 completely pulled themself out of the play trying to contain Milroe. They aren’t doing that with Bryce at QB. I definitely think we need to lean a little more on the run game but trying to run the offense Saturday in the 2nd half with Bryce just won’t work the same.

I didn’t say we didn’t have any speedsters, and I agree the young guys have been playing well. But there’s a difference between “speedster” and the Ruggs or JW freak level speed. I was under the impression that Harrell was the latter, which is why everyone was so excited about his transfer. I’m not talking bad about any of the young guys, just wondering if he can offer that extra level of explosiveness that has been missing a little bit this season, compared with last year.

Oh yea, totally agree with you. And he supposedly is that level fast.

I thought Bond was just a straight line speed guy but man, on that one catch, he showed some crazy wiggle. Call me impressed.

The Ark DC is a moron. The defense he played on us was terrible. WHEN YOUNG WENT OUT, all their DC had to do was play a short zone and keep everything in front of him. But instead he brought everyone up, they got caught up in the line and we broke huge runs. Their DC was taking unnecessary risks and it bit him in the azz. Other DC probably won't give us such free gifts when Milroe is playing.

On 4th and 1 from less than a yard, having the QB in the gun with a single RB and no lead blocker? He should be sued for malpractice.

Teams throw all the time deep in the redzone. However we were like on the 5? Saban was pissed. I thought Milroe could have just tucked it and ran.

He just ran like 100 yards full speed if you account for the angle. You hand the ball off there if for no other reason than to give him a breather.

Kid is 19 and probably runs 5-10 miles a day at practice. He's one of the most fit humans on planet earth in his prime physical condition. He's also huge, strong and fast. He's fine to run a two yard play for an easy TD after 1 long run. Sheesh.

Every RB or WR on the planet would have been on the sidelines for at least a couple snaps after that play.

Stick with X Box.

Edit: Maybe not WR but the ball probably ain’t going their way on the next play.

You’re ignorant. I played football. He’d have been more than fine on a sneak. Stick to armchair QB. I’d bet you’re amazingly out of shape.
