...annnnd I’m perfectly fine with that, especially since LSU is the new #1.

Honestly I think bama should be about 3 or 4 until after the LSU game. I'd put OSU and LSU above bama based on resume as well as the eyeball test, and I'd put Clemson above bama as well, though I can't really make a compelling argument as to why, without referring to last season.

Won't be shocked if we are 3/4 in the first CFP poll

I wonder if the committee will keep Bama at #2 to hype up the game even more. We probably deserve to be 3/4 in reality though.

Yeah, I don’t think you’ll find any Bama fans complaining lol. LSU fans secretly don’t like it either, although they’ll do the whole chest beating “WE AIN’T SCARED” routine.

Easily. LSU and Ohio State have played, and beaten, better (perceived) teams than Alabama has.
But, to be a bit "conspiracy"-like, it's interesting to think how the CFP would treat a one loss Clemson. If the committee values, in these early polls, the strength of opposition, Clemson will have nothing to stand on.
If the committee values strength of wind, a la, margin of victory, Clemson has more room

This set up reminds me of the 2015 game. Hopefully it has a similar result.

EXCELLENT. This came at a perfect time. Pipe it into the locker room for the next two weeks that LSU is #1.

Very happy with it. Maybe gives the players a feeling of disrespect

I want to be #3.

Why is Clemson getting the extra motivation by being moved down and we aren't?

This is great especially with a 1 loss team getting in. This made my day because if we were not to win the game our only loss would to the number 1 team while not having our QB 100%. We would still be in the top 4.

Number #3 in the opening CFP poll has never made the playoffs.

The first CFP Poll comes out in 8 days. I’m not superstitious, but I don’t want to be #3.

LSU has it all going their way these days.
#1 ranking, 3 top 10 wins, Heisman trophy leader, getting all the glory & attention.
We're dropping in the rankings. Hopefully we'll drop some more before 11/9.

I’m ecstatic about it.

Truth is based on work thus far they deserve it.

IMO, couldn’t come at a better time with the bye week heading into LSU week, with them having jumped Alabama to the #1 spot. If there was ever a time for a coaching staff to be drilling into players’ heads the theme of disrespect to be used as motivation, this is it. It of course does not guarantee a win over LSU, but there should be no lack of motivation for Alabama to give max effort in the game to prove a point.
