Didn't they say the same about Sark and Kiffin?

No, the sunshine crew here isn't worried about anything. They think Kayla and Grubb are doing a great job, and just having to fix the dumpster fire program with no talent they inherited from our last coach... what was that guys name ? Saban ? Yeah, all he did was bring in 17 straight no.1 recruiting classes, but there simply wasn't enough talent on the roster to average more than 2 yards a QUARTER rushing. lol

Making up stupid nicknames for people is a sign of low intelligence. Also calling someone by a girls name as an insult is a sign you're scared of women. 2 birds with one stone. Congrats.

Saban brought in a couple of #2 classes in that time. And half the roster left after he retired either to the NFL or the portal. And DeBoer has brought in the #3 and #2 classes the last 2 years with the highest ranked QB we've ever signed. And the #1 RB this year.

Do you check things out? Their running game was not atrocious but Grubb did not run the ball at the rate the HC wanted. They actually ran the ball a tad better under Grubb, 4.2->4.1, but the number of attempts were between 7 & 8 less per game.
As I stated elsewhere, Grubb probably should have been fired for not doing what his boss told him to do, though I don’t know what their agreement was upon hiring. But RG should have done what he was told.
It was obvious Grubb needed to be replaced but it was not because the “running game was atrocious” but because the philosophy of the HC and OC was incompatible and the OC was unable or unwilling to modify his approach to suit his boss.
Grubb and DeBoer’s philosophies are much better aligned meaning that the passing game is the focus and the running game is complementary. Nevertheless, it still needs to be functional, which all agree it was not in ‘25.
IMO, even if the OL is improved in’26, the RB’s will still be a big problem unless Crowell is what we think and is ready or Dear is ready and what we hope but haven’t really seen yet. In summary: IMO, the RBs were as big of a problem as the OL and shocking I know - maybe a bigger problem. That RB room is not good (forget ratings, think talent and possibly RB coaching. Burton Burns was one of the overlooked stars of Saban’s early staffs. Evaluation and instruction.) apart from hope, i. e., Crowell and/or Dear.

Yea, everyone who has an opinion you disagree with is a bot.
It seems some of you can't take the Crimson colored glasses off.
Grubb is shite OC who doesn't understand situational football or how to coach up a strong running game.
I'm sure you'll all fill me in on how smart you all are after seeing a top 5 talent roster get their shite pushed in by 3 stars.
Alabama has made a terrible choice post Saban. Grubb and by extension DeBoer will be gone within 2 years.

I disagree with this. While the RBs were certainly not great last year, I believe I saw that their average first contact with a defensive player occurred one yard in the backfield. That's absolutely ridiculous and we could have trotted Derrick Henry, Herschel Walker, and Bo Jackson back there and they would have struggled to gain yards behind blocking that poor. The OL has to be fixed, and DeBoer and Grubb have taken steps to address it. The only question is whether or not the moves they made will be effective.

We were a poor screen and run team for a variety of reasons. OL was poor blockers, TE were poor blockers, WR were terrible blockers, and the tailbacks were a bit dodgy with their decisions in the backfield.

Okay guy, keep earning for your boss. No argument or any more replies from me. I'm tired of the endless discussions about nothing anyways

I don't even know why I'm doing this, but...
He's not a shite OC. He's shown on multiple occasions and many times through his career to be able to put a highly productive offense on the field, even when he didn't have a team full of blue chip recruits. Last year was certainly a mixed bag, but I'm going to give him more than one year to make a determination on how good an OC he is.
If you're referring to Indiana, our defense got it pushed in also, right? And Oregon got it pushed in, too, despite probably a better roster? Indiana was a great team. We didn't play well, but they were just better than us (and everyone else in CFB this year), regardless of them having 3-stars.
That remains to be seen.

JMO but I think Kalen and Bama took a setback right off the bat when both Huff and Grubb elected to go with Seattle than come to Bama.
It's possible the 3 of them were/are needed to make this dog hunt.
Regardless, 2026 is the year.

The IU OL destroyed the Bama DL and LB's.

2027 should be circled in permanent marker. 2026 will be a young team that could overachieve, but I'm not expecting a NC caliber offensive unit. Defense will be great, though.

I like to think the fact Bama seemed to bring in some larger defensive linemen should help the defense not getting pushed around so much.

I wonder how SABAN recruits lost compared to other teams ?
Wonder if other top teams had similar experience.
We used to have some pretty decent tracking numbers before NIL and the transfer portal came to the game. Saban 5 stars recruited and 5 stars to the pros percentage blew everyone else away until Kirby hit his stride at UGA and OSU turned it up a notch or two.
