Yea, like I said I get the purpose of the rant, but it's nice to have a place to talk about stuff without instant trolls from either side.

I'm interested in the opinion of a LSU fan like yourself. Why, do you suppose, do the administrators of this website not create an open board of actual sports discussion? I mean, as previously noted, there are more than 40 boards at this website. Politics, money, tech talk, home and garden, books, video games, hell even a fantasy sports board. Why not a for real sports board open for actual discussion. I'm pretty sure that not long it would be among the 3 most active forums at this website. Would you like and participate in a board like that?

On any board, a discussion isn't always strictly confined to the original post. In fact, it would probably be a very boring board, and probably short lived, if every post had to be strictly about the exact original topic. For that matter, this one is close enough to the op I don't see a problem at all.

re-reading the original post, I think he actually was talking about the Rant forum because he also mentions "non-sec folks"

Honestly for me, there are two reason's I enter a topic. First is if the topic interests me. Second is who is creating it. IF you filter around enough, you can eventually find some worthwhile conversations. I know sometimes your analytic threads go off the rails George, but I think alot of people enjoy them and it shows.
But the rant is a ton of trolling. That's why every year around our game and during the season, if I care to talk bama football or about the bama vs lsu game, I come here to do it. I didn't give my LSU fan perspective recap bc I didn't think you guys gave a damn to read what the winning LSU fan thought lol. I normally do one post game and will always do one pregame for those that like reading it.
