We play Auburn next Saturday but who is after that? If we play Arkansas as scheduled there seems to be no way to fit in LSU since LSU is booked the following week vs. Florida.

I thought there was talking of moving Arkansas a week later so we could play LSU following Auburn?

It seems like they need to announced these changes sooner rather than later.

The LSU - Ole Miss game needs to be reschedueled to 12/19 and we play LSU on 12/5 and Ark on 12/12. That's about the only way we can get 10 games in.

It appears the SEC is waiting for more potential postponements before rescheduling games.

You've linked back to that at least twice but it's just that image and no link to an actual SEC source. Where did you see or hear that the SEC is waiting for more potential postponements? In any event, time is running out.

There are no new official announcements to link yet. Since the SEC hasn't announced any more reschedulings yet (which aren't hard to figure out, as shown in the link I provided), it seems pretty obvious that they're waiting to see if there'll be more postponements this week that'll need to be worked out too. Time isn't running out yet. Per the SEC, next Monday (a week from tomorrow) is the deadline for moving any Dec 5 games to later dates to allow for UA-LSU on Dec 5.

At this point I don’t even really care about the LSU game. They punked out to avoid an arse beating. They are beneath us. If not playing them gets us a bye before the SECCG, I’d take it. The LSU game is meaningless to us now. We have bigger goals.

I kinda agree, but beating LSU like a drum would help recruiting. However, it really doesn't matter how we as fans feel about UA playing LSU. Since all SEC programs truly need as much shared TV revenue as possible, it seems to me the SEC will try to reschedule and play all postponed games.

Good luck with that with Covid spiking widely around the country. It’s amazing we’ve gotten as many games as we have, really. I’d be fine just moving to the playoffs after this weekend. Playing teams with half their players out isn’t even all that fun or satisfying anyway.

I doubt the SEC members care what you or I think about rescheduling vs cancelling.

Ark on 12/12

That would seriously suck as the players would not be able to walk in their graduation. But I guess that's going to happen no matter what at this point.

Never claimed otherwise. This is a message board for fans to discuss sports, not a decisions making message board for league officials. I stand by my statement, SEC isn't getting 10 games in for all 14 member institutions--TV money or not.

I think SEC is holding off on any announcements to make sure we don't have any more conflicts this week. I don't think we'll see any postponements for this week (Hopefully) If everything is good to go by Friday, I expect SEC to announce Saturday or Sunday

We recruit against them regularly. No one's going to remember them ducking. But an arse whipping is for the record books.

I hope we play the game. Otherwise we have to hear it for another year--whether we win the natty or not.

Beating LSU doesn't validate anything, nor does not playing them diminish anything.

If Bama doesn't play Clemson in the playoff, will you care if some Clemson fan suggests that that matters?

Clemson isn't a conference rival that tired to get out of playing Bama because they knew they would get their asses whipped.

Could they be waiting to see the outcome of this week's games to narrow down who could be playing in Atlanta. I'm sure they would like to avoid moving a game to the 19th to have a string of upsets change who is playing in Atlanta.

My guess is they would like the divisions to be clinched before moving a game to the date of the SECC. Ark, MSU and Ole Miss are already mathematically eliminated. If we win Saturday, LSU and Auburn are also mathematically eliminated (TAMU loss and win by us would clinch). Similar situation in the East where a UF win leaves only UF and UGA as mathematically capable of making the SECC (UGA loss and UF win clinches UF).

I bet we start seeing games rescheduled for the 19th with the exception of UA, TAMU, UF and UGA if the games this weekend go as expected.
