Sounding more like football will be played. The big question is the fans. How will that be limited or controlled. I dont see them allowing 50% like Texas threw out there. An announcement tomorrow about Ala high school football. Thinking they will play, also.

I saw yesterday that Texas high school football just moved their schedule back a month. Will reevaluate at that time. As everyone knows, Texas high school football is kind of a big deal over there.

Yes and no. The smaller divisions will be starting on time.

MLB isn’t helping.. marlins had to cancel home opener tonight. Covid cases

I’m still don’t know how they would handle a situation as a Friday test and say 4 players test positive. You really would have to cancel the game. Those players have practiced all week with the rest of the team.. 14 day quarantine.. which takes out the next two games. That’s where the season is going to get messed up. And it will happen a lot. I still don’t see a way they can make it work but I’m hopeful. They will have to test on Fridays too. Just like other sports day before game. Think Of all the refunds if fans are allowed to attend. Hotel cancellations, food prep for players cancelled day of. It would cost a ton of wasted money. It might happen once and schools will pull out after that due to not being able to afford the hit. I think we might start the season, but I don’t see it making it past week 3. Too many moving parts and you can’t put the young men at risk or the law suits would be insane. The bad part is we need sports right now, brings the country back together

I just don’t see how we are going to make it in HS here in Mississippi either.

Cecil tweeted that no fans is looking more likely and that will cost Bama $60 million, even if we have a season. Not good.

If MLB ends up canceling, you can forget college football. Next couple of weeks will be telling

Fans are too risky. Got to get that TV money or college sports will need a lifeline to survive.

Unbelievable we are allowing Facebook moms and a hack like Fauci actually affect our lives. Over the flu.

I agree Bear.. it’s not looking good for Mississippi. I saw where Madison schools have pushed back their start date to September 3rd for classes. If a second wave is still coming when it gets cold.. we won’t make it through a season or school year.

IF and that's a big if, fans go to the game, social distancing and masks should be strictly enforced or it won't last long. Also, if you are an at risk person, stay your arse out of the stadium! IMHO, attending the game is at your own risk, and if you are in a high risk category, you have no business being there.

Unbelievable we are in this situation because so many refuse such a simple thing as wearing a mask. If the NCAA thought people could follow the guidelines we would have fall sports and at least some fans would be able to watch it live. Over refusing to wear a mask.

Just heard a rumor that we might delay . Sports is going to be tough to pull off as soon as you get a few positives on a team .

To bad our expectations have lowered so much that we can not police ourselves and need others to enforce something so simple.

Marlins did indeed have to shut it down for now. So Baltimore has to postpone their game with them this evening. Unfortunately, the Marlin's played the Philly's over the weekend and now Philadelphia's scheduled game vs the Yankees this evening has also been postponed due to the players mingling. Miami has created a domino effect just like that. We've seen Dallas of MLS withdraw from their tournament because of COVID and how is this not going to be the MO of the NBA and NFL going forward?

Do these players really care enough to isolate and suck it up? Lou Williams was caught dancing at a strip club. Are these guys going to seriously police themselves? Or are they going to continue to live their lives like the petulant millionaires they are?

NC has pushed the start of fall sports off until at least September 1 and said the 1st week of school would be considered a dead week for athletics. The HS sports season is suppose once school restarts. That was before many of the schools have decided to wait anywhere from 5 to 9 weeks before they will start. With some not returning until October I do not see fall sports outside of maybe a handful of non contact happening in NC.

Too bad we've allowed the narrative to change from "flatten the curve" to "not one single new (false) positive!".
