easy pass interference call on the man that was actively tackling Najee well before the ball arrived.

Agree except the flag wasn’t thrown and there’s no guarantee it would have been thrown.

You had the PI on Najee and there was clear defensive holding on Irv Smith. No flags were thrown and I’m willing to bet we wouldn’t have seen any if Ridley hadn’t caught that ball.

That whole play still gives me a panic attack.

I still get pissed about the Clemson game the year before. Even with our lack of a productive offense we'd probably have won that game had not Clemson receivers been pushing off half the night, let alone getting away with the pick on the next to last td. Not as sure about that last one.

Should have said "Clemson receivers getting away with pushing off". They ran 99 offensive plays and if I remember correctly, there wasn't a single call against them.

Meh, I bet it would have been called if Ridley hadn't caught the ball. The refs' eyes would have followed the ball past Ridley if he hadn't caught it. It's also possible they saw the PI and would have called it if the ball hadn't been caught for a TD almost simultaneously.

But, it's possible it might not have been called. Glad we didn't have to find out.

Yes, the flag had not yet been thrown because referee's exist on the same timeline as us, see the play unfold, and then reach for and throw the flag after the foul is committed. Ridley caught the TD - no need to reach for laundry. And based on the blatantly obvious nature of hitting and wrapping up the intended WR (removing Ridley from the equation) with both arms, I'm very confident the flag would have been thrown.

Yes, that play was 4th down and filled with anxiety at the time, but the notion that Ridley catching it was some miracle is nonsense. We were running slants on the goal line, and if the play extends, it turns into crossing routes. One WR catching the ball in front of another crossing reciever is not a miracle. A great play and certainly fortunate, but not some other-worldly phenomenon. And the PI would have been called 999 times out of 1,000.

Not even a holding call. It was absolutely remarkable.

The lack of calls between 2015-2016 when we had the best front 7 in college football was simply amazing.

This is just clueless regurgitated media noise designed to get attention. Tua is way out in front. The "competition" has been decided for all intents and purposes. It's Tua's job to lose

Jalen Hurts can win every game we play

Didn't we discover that wasn't the case last year? When our backs were against the wall vs. Auburn, we had nothing on offense to challenge them. Jalen simply wasn't enough. He simply isn't enough.

Nope. Teams with good defenses know how to stop him. He never evolved as defenses contained the run. He really doesn't even need a rocket. But if he can't learn to consistently compete 15 yard passes, it can shut down the entire offense. Clemson figured it out last year, and he never improved. Unless there's been dramatic unreported improvement, he isn't our guy.

Nothing against him. And I'm appreciative for all that he's done. He really should switch to h back. That'll be beer this best chance at an NFL career.
