10-15 range is about right based on how last season ended and what is known about this team.
Question marks at QB, OL, RB.
Should be a solid WR corps
Question marks at DL and LB
Elite secondary
We were one of the worst rushing teams in college football last year and now we're replacing our first round pick at Quarterback. I think most around the program are cautiously optimistic because the unproven talent is still talent, but from an outsiders perspective it's not a top 10 team

Probably about right breaking in a new QB...but it's weird seeing Alabama starting out of the top 10.
It should fuel the team. Play the disrespect and let it drive team focus. There's still a Bama Legacy and standard...if that matters in this new era.

Maybe, but we finished better than Oklahoma, aTm, and around the same as Ole Miss and I’d say they all have just as much loss/uncertainty as we do
There’s definitely some uncertainty about our team but you lose in the final 8 to the eventual champs and your biggest losses on the team are a QB who was hobbled by the end of the year and offensive linemen when we couldn’t run the ball or protect the passer anyway.
I understand the doubt, but several teams ahead of us have just as many if not more question marks, worse coaching, worse composite talent.
Reckon we’ll see

Pretty fair based off of what we know for certain about the current squad. Plenty of question marks needing answered.
We always worked it out under Saban, and they were justified in always giving us maybe a bit of a higher rank some years with incoming replacements at key positions... but, we should all get used to the fact the old ways are over, and be objective.

We have a new qb for a third year in a row.
The o-line needs to stiffen up. Etc etc.
It may have been a bit more accurate to go 9 or 10, but 11 isn't grotesquely disrespectful imo.

They all return their starting QB though, which is weighted a lot differently than other question marks. Ole Miss I understand due to the coaching change, but in the limited sample size they looked just fine under Golding

That's about right. The ranking reflects the talent the team does have but at the same time reflects the question marks as well. I think 11 is fair.

Saban said it best. We need to fly under the radar. This team needs the motivation of being disrespected and no pressure of a high ranking.

Well if we start 6-0 we’ll be ranked in the top 3. I wish this team wouldn’t even talk about respect or disrespect. It shouldn’t matter. That’s just outside noise. Hoping we field a team that’s just focused on doing their job for 6 or 7 seconds at a time

that ranking is a bit higher than i expected. i was expecting closer to 15. i just hope they come out of the gate focused.

Could year 3 with DeBoer be the same pivotal inflection point for the program under his leadership?
I certainly hope so. Getting more excited to see his system and philosophy play out with the players he has needed for his scheme.

The coaches actually know what they are talking about.
This is CKD’s most talented roster, and (drastically) more important, is that the talent FITS the scheme on both sides of the ball.
A 5-star 3-tech James Smith doesn’t fit in a 3-4 Under Front, nor does his lack of length give him any versatility to play anything over than a 3-tech. I was so happy he left. Also, a “5-star” Keon Keeley at 6’6.5 280lbs lacks physicality as much as Ben Davis did. The guy just isn’t physical. Also he had nowhere to play in this Front other than a 5-tech when they go 4-down but he could t squeeze a down block by the PST or Spill a Pulling Guard.
