Alabama is averaging 210 rushing yards a game

And it's not all from the QB either. Hill, Crowell, and Brown have all looked great. Crowell is going to be special once he gets healthy enough for 20 touches in a game. Hopefully last night was just a cramp and not a setback on his ankle or foot or whatever it was that's been nagging him all year.

Bama is 5th in the country in rushing yards per game in the second half. Averaging over 150 yards in the second half.

This should be an example for everyone that the backs weren’t the big issue last year, it was the line.
I don’t know what the hell Kapilovic was doing but good god I am so happy to no longer see us playing musical chairs with the line every quarter every week

Let’s be real clear, our backs sucked last year.
Hill was injured and slow.
Jam was injured and indecisive.
Young isn’t an FBS back
Riley was hurt.
None of those versions of themselves would be in the 5 deep right now.

Kap sucked, full stop.
We were fat, slow and lacked power at the POA.
But 3-4 starters were injured by mid year which also played a factor.
The bottom line is the coaching staff cleared house of a lot of bad Saban era evals at OL and RB and we have a good OL and a RB room with an elite ceiling if the freshmen continue to develop.

The overhaul of the RB group has been impressive, and this is without AK Dear too. Hate Kevin Riley has been pushed to deep reserve because I think he has value, but proof has been on field.
Daniel Hill running like he looks has been a game changer, short yardage wasn't a gimme last season. Hopefully the OL comes together in front of them, because you can see how close the RBs have been to breaking several long runs...

I keep saying this, Grubb’s play calling takes you regularly from agony to ecstasy and he’s never going to run a tailback 45 times a game which is what it’s going to take to satisfy some people.
But if you look at his collegiate record … his issues in Seattle were actually an outlier and were more of a he didn’t want to do what his boss directly told him to do situation … and I did the research and posted actual numbers the other day, going back to Fresno State and Washington, his stuff has ALWAYS worked better with a competent rushing attack.
He was the frickin’ running game coordinator at Fresno before he was OC.

Very incorrect. Former players and coaches who know more than we do have made it abundantly clear our RBs were terrible last year.

No it was both. Hill lost weight and isn’t just running north and south anymore. And are you really going to sit there and act like Jam and the rest were on the same level as Crowell and Brown? Riley is a 4th string, Jam didn’t make an NFL active roster, and Young is off the team
