Lot of post-visit interviews from prospects talking about how great the atmosphere was at the game.

In my opinion, I think losing MH in this class won't sting as much now. The development of our freshman DB's will/can cover up missing out on a stud like Marlon.

I've yet to see a recruiting analyst who isn't confident that Marlon will sign with Bama.

True, I just wouldn't be shocked if he signed else where.

He would have a great shot at getting on the field next year.

I tend to think that he is not coming to Bama either. Something about his arrogance leads me to believe that he really wants Saban to beg him and tell him that he is a day 1 starter and that no other db we have can compare. I just don't like how the recruitment with him is going. I know his dad wants him here, but I'm not sure he wants to be here.

Definitely. And with next year looking like as much of a rebuilding year as we are likely to encounter, you throw in the young guys. I don't think Sylve and crew can hold off Hump if they can't hold off Target Jackson

I get when we don't take Legacy's because in the cases they likely are marginal recruits at best when legacies (like the older Humphrey) but what is it is with so many of our good legacies or guys with some connection to the program giving the program such a cold shoulder?

With the current state of our DB's MH would still be a huge blow. Even if our starters manage to improve a lot there is always back ups.

No one is giving Bama a cold shoulder. We fans just have this unreasonable expectation for Marlon to be gung-ho and talking up Bama all the time so we'll feel confident where he is going. Well, that's not fair to him. Bama is his leader. Be happy with that.

I don't know if it's necessarily an unreasonable expectation. He has been coming to Tuscaloosa and going to football games with his family for a long time and his father was an All American RB at UA. People just kind of assumed, and rightfully so I think, that he would have committed the minute he was able to. I don't see how expecting a kid who was raised as a fan to be a fan is all that crazy though.

Personally, I get the impression that track is what he really cares about. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he goes to FSU or quits whatever football team he joins after a year or two to focus on track year round. Not that there would be anything wrong with that. Gotta do what you love or you'll be miserable.

That's not unreasonable at all, but people are upset because he's not showing his fandom enough. He's been to FSU, Auburn, and State a couple times. He's been to Bama dozens of times but people are upset at him for not visiting last weekend because he was sick. To me, that's being unreasonable.

Also people have to take into account the way recruiting works now. If he commits and is all Bama all the time, he loses out on all the fun paid vacations. No one would spend the time and money wining and dining him. He is just enjoying the process.

If you had the opportunity to go visit southern schools on their dime with all the women running around there if all you had to do was tamp down your Bama fandom, wouldn't you?

He could commit anywhere right now and still take all of his officials.

That's awesome. Whatever works.
