Also, I would say Cam is better than Fluker, not quite as good as Cyrus coming out of highschool. Cyrus is so prototypically correct at LT that it's unbelievable. He was DESIGNED to play LT. Cam is like a mix of the two actually. I'd say CyKo is the best pass blocking, long armed tackle I've seen come out of HS in a LONG time. And Fluker is a crazy powerful road grader. Cam is like a good mix of both.
But if you gave me the choice of cloning Cyrus as a freshman and plugging him in next year, or playing Cam, i'd take Cyrus

Cam has played the position more extensively against much better competition, he's not as tall as CyKo is but his feet are quicker, he's stronger more of a mauler
Dominated all OL drills on vids I watched like I've never seen at a camp before not even CyKo

yep I agree. Like Sand said Cyrus is and was the prototype but he while not bad by any means still is missing something in the run game. He does his job etc but he has never been much of a mauler at at all. And that comes from want to more than anything.

I'd say the only thing missing from CyKo's game is his technique needs a little sharpening.

LT is more important to pass block. The job is protecting the blind side. That's why it's important. Cam is very good at it. Cyrus doesn't get beat at it. I think that class was much stronger overall and that's why Cam is number 1 and Cyrus wasn't. I think both are great though.

Not to beat a dead horse, but do we feel good about Cam on Friday? I've been away for a while and after reading a little of the past messages from the past 12-16 hours and im not about to read the LSU board. If i know them, most of them have already lost there minds to the possibility he could play for us. Any update? RTR

The almost unanimous idea floating around is he's picking Bama. Even the LSU guys are reporting as such.

Nothing but speculation unless The System is really an insider. Trending Bama but I'll believe it when he commits to Bama and enrolled in January.

This includes picks from Shea Dixon (covers LSU for them), Barton Simmons (national recruiting analyst), JC Shurburtt (national recruiting analyst), and Kipp Adams (another national recruiting analyst who just spent a week in Louisiana and spoke with Cam earlier this week). All 4 of those have picked Cam to Bama within the past 2 days.
