Ronnie Clark is visiting next week, with his dad in tow.

And at worst, Ross Pierschbacher is probably very softly committed to Iowa. Had a great visit, Saban and Cristobal told him he was a 5 position player. Visiting Stanford next, said he should know more about his recruitment afterwards.

Just ask him for a quote. Then he will look stupid.

I continue to think that Alabama is the clear leader for Ricky despite an offer from USC recently.

This weekend, Ricky will be visiting Stanford for a camp on Friday, junior day on Saturday. Stanford has yet to offer a 2015 QB and when that offer comes it will likely be either Town or Josh Rosen. Stanford is definitely a team to watch because their offensive system fits Ricky's interest so well.

There's also good news for Alabama. While it's not booked yet, Ricky plans on visiting Alabama this fall for the Arkansas weekend, Oct 18, 19 and 20. Fortunately for Town and Alabama, that happens to be Ricky's bye week at St. Bonaventure. Along with Ricky, both his mother and father and his brother are all expected to be there.

Ricky's brother adds another interesting element. He's a high academic kid, one year younger than Ricky. He's president of his class at school and he's really into speech, debate, theater, etc. Apparently Alabama has a strong speech program and the Town family is looking into the possibility of the younger brother working to earn some sort of academic scholarship because ideally they'd like to attend school together.

So that has become a factor, considering schools where both would be happy - one as a football player, and one as a student. Alabama and Stanford are two schools that seem to provide that at the moment.

In addition to the Arkansas game, Ricky is considering visiting for the LSU game as well. Other visits he's considering are Texas-OU, LSU @ UGA, Stanford @ USC, but none of those are finalized yet.

He's a really intelligent kid that wakes up living and breathing football. So he's not going to be quite as enamored with Stanford's academic presentation as some others. David Shaw's football presentation vs. Nick Saban's football presentation remains more improtant to him. If anything, Stanford's academics gives him pause because he doesn't love the idea of that hamstringing his football activities.

Now redfield thinks it is funny. He likes to make fun of those that think they are insiders, all the while acting like he knows something.

Yeah he is. His frame is pretty well filled out at 210-215 pounds, but I still feel like he will eventually grow into an OLB. Which might not necessarily be a bad thing. He apparently has pretty fluid hips and good change of direction for a big guy, and with the way offenses are going that's something OLBs will start to need.
