It's very rare. Then to have an opportunity to play for Nick Saban himself. You get to play for Alabama. I don't know how else to say it. It's a dream come true. I am trying to take full advantage of this opportunity

I guess I could be overstating it, but I really don't think a University has ever enjoyed this kind of recruiting success. Not even Miami or USC in their day. Sure they got some great recruits, but I can't recall them getting commitments left and right from people who have never even stepped foot on campus. You know you are doing something right when kids from around the country commit to you just because "It's their dream come true" to play there. They don't give a shite about anything (academics, campus, weather, people, etc.) other than playing football for Nick Saban. I think that is like 3 or 4 this year who have done this IIRC.

It said Yeldon. One of your fellow posters added Fournette.

Alabama grabbed kids from all over the place during the Bryant era, though the roster was made of more kids from in-state than now. USC had pull during the Pete Carroll era. Florida for a few years under Meyer. There are a few other program that have been able to do it as well.

The benefit if a qb as tall as Cornwell is that you can have a 6'7" guard
