I'm watching. Hopefully Michigan wins.

I've been conditioned to find Ohio State's shot selection really frustrating. Neither team strikes me as being particularly athletic though. Just really efficient and well coached.

Arky and LSU don't matchup well with Alabama and if we are being honest Mizzou don't either with Bruner playing! The only team that can matchup is Auburn.

I'll be interested to hear Oats' comments. I'll bet he wasn't pleased with the defense.

Oats is so straightforward and it's awesome. We've been begging for a coach like this for years. It's awesome finally having a coach like this.
We just hired a new S&C assistant from IMG that will pay big dividends for the program in the future. I mean, this guy has a clear vision and plan for the program. It's hard to register honestly. He has an actual offensive scheme; recruits very well; demands effort; holds players accountable; puts emphasis on conditioning; and has marketed the program better than anyone we've had.
It's only year two of CNO. Granted he has a senior laden team, but these guys wouldn't be playing at the level that they are without his coaching and sense of direction.

Did y’all see that inbound play Michigan ran that looked like a football play?
Everybody started spread out on the baseline and then took off like they were all running routes

That was a cool inbounds play. I honestly didn't know it was legal. There'll probably be more teams trying that this point forward.

I am pretty sure he was hired by the football staff.
He got hired to replace Tyler Owens who left Alabama to be Arizona's football strength and conditioning coordinator.

Arizona announced Tuesday the hiring of Tyler Owens to be the football program’s strength and conditioning coordinator. He comes to Tucson from Tuscaloosa, where since 2015 he has been an assistant strength coach for a program that has won three of the last six national titles.

Damn I thought that was basketball. That would have been huge due to his experiences at IMG.

I thought so too at first, but turns out it was for football.

Big Lead heading to 4th....WE MIGHT DO IT!!

I haven’t watched much women’s basketball this year, but every time I do, it makes me wish the men would switch to four quarters. It just seems like a much more natural flow for a basketball game.
Bama 60
MSU 50
8:08 Q4
We need to clean this one up with two tough games to finish out the regular season.

Probably not. The only ex coach that might've came close is Grant. And mainly because his good he had Dayton playing the last couple years. But, him failing at Bama and going back to the NBA might've been what he needed to evaluate his coaching philosophy and plan. I can't say I watched Dayton play before the tournament was cancelled. But the guy isn't a bad coach.

It's so much better. And I think they do the bonus foul reset thing like the NBA too, which is fantastic.

They do. The rule changed when they moved to 4 quarters. In addition to game flow improvements, you don’t have a free throw shooting contest under 10 minutes in both halves.
quote:
The new timing format also prompted the NCAA Women’s Basketball Rules Committee to alter team foul parameters. A team is now awarded two free throws for each common foul after the fifth team foul in each period. The team foul tally is reset in each quarter.
There’s really no reason for the men to be stuck playing halves when every other level of basketball players 4 quarters now. I really hoped it would lead to a rule change when the women switched in 2017.
