Dude I'm with you. We aren't talking about it all that much because we don't want to jinx it and we have big goals too, but we haven't won an SEC Title in 20 years. Like, that's a big fvckin deal. A really, really big fvckin deal.

I seriously don’t know if I could ever handle watching us play in a final four game oh LAWD, I would be a profanity filled mess

Pretty crazy that Arkansas and LSU are looking like the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the SEC and in the 3 games we have played against them this year we have outscored them by 79 points. Could've been more than that honestly, I think we took the starters out with about 10 minutes left in all three games.

I hope the trend continues on Wednesday.

The SEC is pretty deep, even with getting the double bye in the SEC Tournament there is a good chance we play either Kentucky or Ole Miss in our first game vs the winner of the 8/9 seed game.

I am hoping Kentucky wins out and gets the 7 seed because I would much rather play Ole Miss.

By Ole Miss, you mean the one that’s looking exactly like every Bama team of the 2010s, right?

Don't take this personal. But these kind of debates always make me chuckle. As of it's like a video game, and the players have a health bar.

Yes, the one that beat Tennessee and Missouri then turned around and lost to Mississippi State.

I think we match up pretty good vs them, Kentucky's length gives us problems, and beating them 3 times in one season would be tough, they had a good game plan to stop us last game. I think we can beat Kentucky but I would rather play Ole Miss in that first game.

Back to talking about Bruner - Oats mentioned in his postgame presser - our PPP Defense when Bruner was in the game was 0.88.

quote:

"His defensive leverage is strong. Our team defense was a 1.05, we were 0.88 when he's in the game. His talk anchors us, his IQ, he sniffs out plays, he rebounds the ball well, he guards the post. So many little things. When he's in the game, our defensive leverage is really good."

I am a little worried about us defensively. We've struggled with some specific stuff the last week or two and we gotta work some things out.

I feel really good about the offense right now. Ball movement is great, Bruner is back, JQ is playing well, Primo is back involved, etc.

What a difference two weeks can make, right? To think we would be worried about the defense right now and the offense would be carrying us through the last few games is hard to believe, but it’s definitely true. That being said, I don’t think the defense is struggling as badly as the offense was at its low point. The team also seems to get back to playing solid defense pretty quickly after some 5-10 minute lapses.

I assume we will see similar stretches during the final three regular season games as some guys knock some rust off and the others get used to playing with the full lineup again. Hopefully, by the time SEC/NCAA tournaments get here, we will have everyone firing on all cylinders on both sides of the ball.

It was a great game for Bruner to come back and get some work and Herb and JQ are finally starting to look nearly 100% again. I really like the timing of everything coming together right now and think it sets up nicely for us to make some noise in tournament play.

He did a good job on Disu. Disu still ended up with 15 rebs and 17 points, but most of it was when Bruner was out of the game.

I didn't think our D was that great today, was good in the first half but we gave up 49 points in the 2nd half. I think we have to play better on defense than we did today to beat Arkansas and I think we will. We are capable of playing a lot better on both offense and defense than we did today. I think we overlooked Vanderbilt a bit.

Aside from our D playing better against Arkansas, we really need Petty to get going and play with consistency offensively.

If y’all aren’t talking about anything but a serious possibility of winning the SEC, then you’re on my shite list

Today was a weird fricking game. We didn’t play that bad IMO we just didn’t make wide open shots so we found ourselves in a close one. Just really weird
