Yeah frick that godawful fanbase, but Gregg Marshall is a psychopath and I am thankful we avoided that disaster.

Man trips to that message board they had were a hoot during the Marshall situation.

Also - Wichita's gym sounds like it has 60,000 people in it with their audio.

"This one of the biggest wins in Wichita State history"

Didn't they go to the Final Four?

This announcer needs a chill pill.

I think with the buyout only being for two years, both parties expect another extension to happen by then if the team continues to progress on the current path. I don't see money ever being a reason why Oats leaves.

I think his long term future here will depend on 1) how much his family likes living in the south, or 2) if he wants to eventually coach in the NBA.

But we have just proved we are more than willing to give the man a generous raise, and we should be able to match just about any offer any other school throws out there.

I don't expect them to win but Penn State is tied with Ohio State with about 12 minutes left.

Say what you will about the other stuff, but he is one of the most consistent and established coaches in college basketball.

I’m constantly amazed how many people continue to doubt Pearl.

Not only has he taken every D1 school he’s worked for to the dance, he’s got a D2 national title and was a blown call away from playing for one at AUBURN.

That’s pushing elite level performance.

Pearl is a sweaty pig, but a damn good coach.

Alabama Crimson Tide vs Vanderbilt Commodores prediction and college basketball game preview.

Why Vanderbilt Will Win
The Commodores have to hit their threes. When they do that, they’re okay. When they don’t, forget it.

At least over the last few weeks, they were good from the outside against Mississippi State and South Carolina and won both games, and couldn’t do anything from three in the other games and lost.

They keep chucking them, and they make a lot because they’re usually in comeback mode, but if they can somehow slow things down and hope Bama is off after not playing for a week.

Why Alabama Will Win
Vanderbilt just doesn’t score enough.

The Crimson Tide keep on coming with an offense that was just getting sharper when the short time off came.

They’re amazing from three, they’re amazing at generating easy points off of steals, and they’re grabbling rebounds in bulk, especially on the defensive end.

Vanderbilt doesn’t have the consistent pop to hang in the 80s, and the defense has a big problem bothering outside shooters – that’s a deathblow when Bama gets on a roll.

What’s Going To Happen
The Tide lost two of their previous five games coming into this, but they’ve been a rock at home with only a loss to WKU back in mid-December.

Vanderbilt, though, is just good enough to not get obliterated. They’re not going to be able to keep up in the second half, but they’ll score a bit late after Bama coasts across the finish line.

Alabama vs Vanderbilt Prediction, Line
Alabama 81, Vanderbilt 70

Good coach but his success comes with an asterisk, fired from Tennessee for NCAA recruiting violations that he lied about, and now Auburn is on probation and can't play in the postseason this year due to recruiting violations.

I like Pearl, he has always been complimentary of Alabama basketball players and coaches.

If we only score 81 points then we probably didn't have a very efficient offensive game. Vanderbilt is atrocious defensively.

#84 - South Carolina (81)
#90 - Auburn (94)
#134 - Georgia (115)
#139 - LSU (105, 78)
#166 - Vanderbilt (?)

Vanderbilt has given up more than 1.0 PPP in all of their SEC games except for Auburn at home and State in Starkville.

They just gave up 1.11 PPP to Kentucky.......who is horrid offensively.

One thing that's surprised me this season, especially these last 4 games, is how good of a shooter Quinerly is. He is shooting 44% from three on the season and has hit 11 of his last 16 three point attempts.

I am fine with him spotting up for a three but when he drives it only needs to be to look to kick out. Same thing with Shack - deadly as a spot up shooter but would rather he look to kick it out on his drives.

He lied about what would have been a very minor violation at Tennessee, which was an incredibly stupid thing to do for sure. The situation at Auburn is entirely different. What Person was doing wasn’t helping Auburn at all, it was making money for Chuck at the expense of Auburn. Don’t forget, we had a guy doing exactly the same thing.

Yeah, we should get well over 81 points vs Vandy.
The NBA is now known as the no defense league. Vandy hires a G League NBA coach as their HC, so you knew once they made the move to Stackhouse defense would be optional.

So, if Bama wins Saturday, do we jump to a 1 seed over the loser of OSU/Mich?

I feel like we'd jump OSU if they lose but not Michigan if they lose. Michigan would be playing on the road and it would only be their second loss of the season.

Thoughts?

A home win over a very bad Vandy isn’t going to jump us over anyone.
