If you offered me today making the tournament, winning a game, and getting steamrolled by the Gonzaga machine in the second round with the stipulation that we could do no better, or more importantly no worse, than that I'd probably think about it for a little while but ultimately take it.
Knowing that, even with my massive pessimism, I realize that the 2021-2022 roster will be even better, deeper, and more experienced?
Yea I'd definitely accept it.

My initial thought after watching yesterday was maybe Tennessee was a bit too offensively challenged to be a dominant top ten type of team.
Although I'm just now seeing that they went to Mizzou and waxed them, which is pretty damn impressive.
And I was pretty impressed with that freshman they have - Keon Johnson. By the end of the season, he could be a true go to guy for them. And we barely saw their other highly rated freshman.
So maybe they will be that good.

I'm still giddy as hell about it too.

Me too - I was 100% convinced we were going to lose that game until Barnes told them not to foul.
Like, literally 100%.

That's because we've seen that movie too many times.
Love the way Oats has the boys really dialed in on the defensive side.
And all the hustle and focus on the defensive end turned into ball movement on the offensive end. That three point barrage in the second found me yelling curse words for a good reason for once.

Agreed - and we didn't play scared at the end. We still did some dipshit stuff (mainly missing like 38 straight free throws), but we didn't go into a shell and we sure as hell didn't play nervous defensively.
It was truly an all around great effort.

Do y’all think we continue to bring JQ off the bench? Our offense looks so much better with him out there since he’s consistently beat his man off the dribble the past couple of games and he hasn’t looked nearly as awful defensively, but also why mess with what’s working?

I told you Baws all week we was winning. NEVER A DOUBT IN MY MIND

I like the defensive lineup we start the game with. It sets the tone.

JQ off the bench gives us a little bit of a boost bc he can increase the tempo. I think it all depends on Primo. If he's handling the ball well and making passes then I think he needs to start.

It definitely has kept us from getting into a hole early and trying to dig ourselves out of it.

I’d like to see Primo initiate the offense more if for no other reason than to keep herb from picking up stupid offensive fouls. His defense and rebounding is too valuable for him to lose minutes because of out of control straight line drives.

Primo's confidence is building but he's not a dog like Sexton was out of HS. We need one of the other guys to be the big dog and let Primo run with them. Herb has kinda become that guy - the alpha.

Gary should be getting Reese minutes in especially this game and maybe like every other one.

I’ve gotten my hopes up about going 2-0 this week. It can be done, but the question is will we come out flat like every other year after a big win or was this really a turning point? If we end this week at 9-3 (4-0) and in sole possession of 1st place in the SEC, I will be speechless.

We will beat Florida. But 100% are losing in Auburn Arena.

Also I can’t get over Pons fricking running over Rojas yesterday, lowering his shoulder and everything, and they called Rojas for a block. That may be the most bullshite call ever
Posted on 1/4/21 at 6:13 am to mistaken4193
Those fools thought the refs called the game in our favor.
Posted on 1/4/21 at 6:16 am to RollTide4Ever
It’s bullshite. 45 on Tennessee Drove the ball, stopped, and did a full damn slide 3 SEPERATE times in that game and didn’t get called for traveling once
