So.... Day 4 begins.

And of course, I've got a 1 pm meeting today. So that Iowa game better not come down to a buzzer beater. I'm rooting for the game to be decided with a few minutes to play. But my best friend is a huge Iowa fan, so there's 1 Big 10 team I hope doesn't get embarrassed. I don't wanna play Garza. But it would be nice to see them have a respectable run. He thinks they lose in the Sweet 16.

Betting on the Terps today- an emotional hedge.

Haven’t done this since the football title game.

We played a 15 seed and now have a 10 and the winner of an 11/14.

If we screw this up, it's 100% on us.

Yep, it's going to be majorly disappointing if we screw things up tonight. While I understand none of it will be easy, it doesn't really get any better than what we got moving forward.

LSU/Michigan

LSU, I'd rather have to play them once more than have to face a Michigan team that is clicking. I feel like we took LSU's best shot in the SECTCG and still won.

#109 in tempo per KenPom.

I think they're playing faster then usual, since both teams have weak D.

3 wins against LSU, especially the SEC Tournament, could have been demoralizing for them when it comes to us. A 4th game against them may not be a bad thing.

PAC 12 was obviously very underrated

Very real possibility the PAC-12 gets all their teams into the Sweet 16 with none being seeded higher than 5. Also a real possibility the Big 10 gets ZERO teams into Sweet 16. Wild.

It's been a strange season.

My bracket is busted, but my USC/Oregon S16 matchup still might happen so I have that going.

I try not to overreact about a conference's performance in the NCAA tournament (there's a lot of randomness, matchup stuff, etc.), but at some point what the PAC-10 is doing just becomes impressive.

And with the Big - they just look big and slow for the most part.

Maryland is funny, because they aren't a very typical Big team. They didn't strike me as insanely athletic, but they are a smaller, at least somewhat quicker team.

Maryland is an ACC school. Having them in the B1G makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Just another product of dumb, short sighted conference realignment that paid no attention to how a school, culturally and athletically, fits into the conference it is being recruited to join.

Their guards have good size. But the test of the team is smaller. For the tournament, we couldn't have asked for a more favorable matchup. A win is very far from guaranteed. But I wouldn't change places with anyone else in the tournament.

Ladies putting UNC away down the stretch. Up 14 with a little over 3 to play.

Didn't realize that about Iowa and their tempo on KenPom....Both teams have flown up and down!

Maryland in the B1G is probably the worst of all the moves in terms of the fanbase and culture and their deep ties to a conference.

Maryland basketball not being in the ACC is like Georgia or LSU not being in the SEC. It's preposterous and I'll never get used to it.

When last seen in 2019, the Sweet 16 was virtually all chalk, with every No. 1, 2 and 3 seed advancing. Seed aggregate for the 16 teams was 49, matching record low.

With only 8 of this year's final 16 set, the seed total is 57. Record of 89 in 1986 likely to fall.
