Illinois might have a tougher time than Bama. They'd potentially be looking at Colorado in the 2nd round and Oklahoma St in the Sweet 16.

I prefer our potential route of with an injured villanova at 3, and USC @ 6. That's a potential tough 6 with Mobley. But I'd be glad to have those draws in our region.

Looking back if that Houston game doesn’t get cancelled we are probably a 1 seed. We would have lost it but it wouldn’t be hurting us like WKU being a Q3 game does.

Now granted without that WKU loss we might have never got our shite figured out

shite, you're probably right...

Hurley’s brother, Dan Hurley, coaches bubble team Connecticut(14-6), a projected No. 10 seed in USA TODAY Sports’ latest bracketology. But four of the Huskies’ six losses came when leading scorer James Bouknight was out with an injury. How lenient will the committee be on injuries compared to past years? Now it will have to consider injury-related and COVID-19-related absences when examining a profile.

That'd be a very tough 7 seed.

UConn has played like a Top 10 team for over a month now with Bouknight back.

They look like classic "UConn with an elite scoring guard" team that runs off to the Final Four.

So Terrance Clarke may finally be back for UK?

Is he the one who was crying on the sidelines because he didn't get as many minutes as he wanted or was that their other MIA freshman? I know Cal has all but accused one of them of faking an injury and the other one got sent home because he basically refused to go into a game off the bench or something.

Butler not being cleared was a HUGE benefit to us. If he had been cleared, Avery would almost certainly still be our coach.

Maybe, but we wouldn't have signed Kira and I'm not sure Butler would have been any better than Kira was.

I think Kira would have not enrolled early, but we still could have signed him.

Right, but he wouldn't have been here Avery's last year and Butler would have been. Not sure there would have been a huge difference if any.

Kira was better than Butler as a freshman despite reclassifying and that was Avery's last season, so I seriously doubt that Butler being cleared would have saved Avery's job. It would arguably make our team better now, but Avery would have been fired even if he had outbid Duke for Zion.

Edit: unless you're implying that we'd have had Kira and Butler on the same team. Hypothetically that may have been enough to save him, but the odds of it actually happening were practically zero. Kira either wouldn't have reclassified in the first place or he would have gone somewhere else.

Gotcha. Yeah I knew it was one of the two. I would never even consider letting either of those dudes come back next year if I was Cal, much less this year. You have to draw the line somewhere.

I'll just be honest - I fvckin want to play Kentucky.

I want their fake injury, soft arse freshman to waltz back onto the court for the first time in 2 months and deal with a bunch of grown arse men hell bent on shutting his arse down.

Sign me up for that.

Absolutely, in a season of breaking old chains, we need the SEC Tourney loss to UK tradition to be taken down too.

That sounds good.

What sounds less good is Bama shoots ice cold the entire game, and UK suddenly starts playing like a bunch of former top 20 recruits.

Let's go with your version.
