I think it sets up nice for a 6-0 start

No home games between Nov 17 and Dec 29.
I guess thats one way to deal with disappointing home crowds during football season.

Home schedule is arse. Should’ve given us a price reduction on season tickets.

Hate to agree but I do. It's great we have an excellent non-con schedule but Seton Hall (ranked 76th in Torvik) at home is it for Ttown games? That's very weak. And no Ken, Aggie, Tenn or Texas at home in conference. Not ideal.

Last year our top tier home games > Ken, Aub, Purdue, Tenn, Ark, Clemson, Tex

Top tier home games this year > Aub, Ark, Fla (maybe Vandy?)

The Iowa game should be in Tuscaloosa, not Mobile.

Not the same.

Also, pretty sure 14 games in Tuscaloosa is the fewest since I've had season tickets and that's been a long while. I don't get it.

I know we are trying to game the system to basically guarantee a top 4 seed year over year, but imo this is ridiculous. You can play home games, its ok.

It’s simple to understand Students get out 1st week of December and don’t go back until 1st week of January. So to avoid embarrassing crowds we decide to play all our *Home* games in Birmingham and Huntsville to give us a home court advantage

They really should work out a way to get those games into the season ticket holder package somehow. I get the logic because of how our academic calendar works out plus the end of football season that it is going to be hard to get turnout. However it really devalues the season ticket holder's investment.

LeBron is signing with Philly and that’s really only relevant to us because I can guarantee as soon as they hit some mid season lull he will start being passive aggressive in the media about needing more veteran pieces and they’ll trade Philon for some Klutch Sports washed up player

What they don't want is people giving up their season tickets and just paying secondary market prices for the best 4 games. Cheaper.

Philon playing with LeBron will be cool.

Good call. Season ticket holders should get the 8th best non-con game and pipe down about it.

The atmosphere would 100% be better in Coleman. Fact.

Yep. Though we could do a better job on November. That said I like having about 4-5 games to tune up before the Thanksgiving MTEs. So you need a few cupcakes there.

I get it. I'd be mad if I were a season ticket holder. But I'm too far away to get to many games. And to have my best friend's favorite team playing my favorite team, and it's gonna be 10 minutes from my house? Yeah, I'm absolutely thrilled about that game.

But while that game hasn't been scheduled, we play them in Des Moines on 12/21. If we play around the same time, 4 days before Christmas, there's no way you'll get a better atmosphere in Tuscaloosa vs Mobile. There won't be any students. And it's so close to Christmas, i bet a lot of Birmingham people don't attend.

Meanwhile, Mobile is building a brand new arena. And they built it to lure these kind of events. And with it being so rare to get to watch Bama play in Mobile, I bet it sells out fast. I was at the game vs USA a few years ago, and there was a great turnout, and by mostly Bama fans.

Ideally, we should be able to play a game every year in either Huntsville or Mobile, and still have solid non con games in Tuscaloosa. Because what's pushing all the neutral court games is the net rankings. And that's what you should be mad about.

I’m honestly happy for you about the game, but that doesn’t make me feel much better.

On a side note, I wonder how many season ticket holders live more than 50 miles away? I bet around half are having to travel a bit for all the home games.

It's pretty badass to me that drive regularly. Those are my kind of Grumpy bastards

On side note of a side note: it's pretty fricking cool that Lebaron is gonna play with LeBron. Sucks he fell and lost out of money. But Philly will be good for him. And it's more about that second deal anyways.

LeBron doesn’t really elevate young guys and if anything, because Philly has Maxey, Brown, LeBron and not many 1st rounders after trading for Brown, LaBaron is going to be rumored to be moved as soon as he’s eligible(December if I remember correctly).

I’d bet on him being traded by the deadline now that all of this has played out.
