I think we need one more primary ball handler too. Aden is a combo guard at best but really just a smaller shooting guard. Allen could probably share responsibility on initiating the offense but I think we’re going to need a true point guard but maybe an upside with some production type of transfer who comes off the bench.

I’m shocked we let Davion Hannah entered the portal.He could have been our backup ball handler and I think he was gonna have a great season/career

It’d be less litigious for them to just allow anyone from this academic year to get their 5.

I mean you have to cut it somewhere. You’ll have guys who graduated two or three years ago seeking or suing for their fifth year.

They'll probably have less legal justification for remedy than the rules getting changed while they were still in school.

I don't think it would apply to them. If I understand the proposal correctly you'd have 5 years to use up to 5 years of eligibility starting immediately after high school. The 4th year seniors who went into the portal in anticipation of this decision are the only ones the decision not to apply it retroactively would affect.

I want a point guard who can handle but is more of a dog. Someone the other team dreads stepping onto the court.

If this 5 for 5 thing passes one way it could be big for us is that we'll potentially get 2 years out of Drew Fielder instead of one. And assuming Biz gets clear of his legal issues we could also have 2 more years of him.

Key here is that the 5 years starts at high school graduation, 18 yrs for most, or 19 max, so suits can’t go back too many years.

Wrong. SC is in desperation mode and spending profusely in the portal. We are loaded with 6’5”-6’7” wings, his position, so he would have lots of competition at his position and difficulty getting much higher NIL.

Yep 76 waters it down so much. Making the NCAA tourney is going to become the equivalent of going to a bowl game before long
