Despite waning interest in all things college sports, it’s always sweet the next morning after beating moo u.

I agree... That road game at Ole Miss on Wednesday feels like it will be more difficult than I want it to be and could be a bad place for a letdown. But getting a win there on Wednesday would really set the table for a good run.

South Florida just took the top of the standings in the American by beating 20-3 Tulsa. They are a decent win for us

The toughest game always the next one in conference basketball. Everyone knows the scout on you and is clawing for position. Ole Miss will be a difficult out simply because of their defensive disposition and it being in their arena.

If Oats ever leave it’s Hodgson or Bucky

Highly doubt we could afford to get Bucky away from A & M unless he starts floundering.

I hope yall are right. I feel like at some point we will need a back up plan and Bucky is young, plays a style that we obviously are familiar with. But if he is successful for another year, I have to figure A & M is going to try and sign him to something substantial & long term with a big old buyout.

…How does the lead announcer mispronounce our leading scorer’s name…

Alabama is not the biggest punching bag in American sport, it’s essentially the only one. In 2006 when Alabama was struggling and fired their coach, not a columnist or analyst, but the broadcast crew calling the bowl game, were laughing and giggling about their plight and suggesting that Joe Kines or Jeff Bowers were suitable for the job. They ranked the programs in the state in order: AU, UAB/Troy, then probably Alabama 4th. Then 20 years later they refuse to correctly pronounce the name of a lottery pick in the next draft or that of the 20th player to sue the NCAA, or a great kid, who is black, but whose name gives them the delightful opportunity to associate the derisive term “mullet” with Alabama. Plenty of other examples before, in between, and since.

Whether it’s the media, continuously, the head of the NCAA, Miles Brand in 2007, or the Commissioner of their own conf, Sankey in 2026, you can spit on Alabama no matter how inaccurate, unfair or hypocritical and not only get away with it but be praised for it.

Notre Dame gets a lot of grief from other fan bases. Not sure about the media as much.

Media turns into Heather Brooke whenever Notre Dame is involved.

It’s because of politics. The media hates our state and the University because of what happened in the 1960’s. They will always hold a grudge against us no matter what we do to try and move forward.

That doesn’t carry over to Georgia, the MS schools(one of which was waving rebel flags and playing slow Dixie into the early 2000s), SCAR, or Auburn.

I think they just hate UA lol
