Give him his due, Venables painted a masterpiece with this game plan. I posted earlier what a friend of mine who used to coach told me, it was a mix of Vandy on offense and Tennessee on defense.

This Alabama team is flat out awful on the road and against teams they don’t take seriously. USF, Vandy, Tennessee, South Carolina,
