Sounds like butt hurt to me. Dr. Andrews is the best orthopedic surgeon around. I trust his opinion and diagnosis, not some idiotic DJ interviewing a quack on the radio. Just ask the hundreds and hundreds of athletes that go to him a year for diagnosis.

Nah. Here is what common sense tells us went down. Tua gets HAS. Doctors and CNS consult with player and family.

Doctors: "Options are, we can put you in a walking boot and allow this thing to heal the normal way. You will be rehabbed and ready to go 100% for spring practice. Option two is, we can do something that is new and somewhat unproven. We reattach things with a flexible wire, stimulate bone growth, etc. We feel like you can be up an going in a couple of weeks and able to compete at a high level, maybe close to 100% by the playoffs. From there, regular rest and healing will get you 100%. We may, possibly, have to re-break the injury and put you through the normal healing process - we're not positive. Anyway, you will be close to 100% for spring practice. Now, there is a chance that this procedure could cause you to be re-injured, perhaps even worse, and then we'd have to put you back together again and it might be on into spring practice before you're really able to do very much. Just think about it."

Tua and family: "We've prayed about it and we want to compete in the playoffs. Let's get the procedure don't ASAP."

Doctors: "We will have a room and a staff for surgery tonight."

Doctor in Jacksonville: "This is a somewhat risky procedure that could cause Tua to be injured even worse."

Us: "OMG, sue the bastard."

Also, I alerted our Gestapo Medical Staff.

RCT, you can rest easy now. They gonna get him for talking bad about us.

Thank you for your support trooper!

We've used this procedure on these things for 3-4 years now. Outside of Jalen it seems to have been pretty effective. However, I'm sure there are cons and as CTMD pointed out I'm sure there are some orthos that are firmly against it.

RCT's reputation has been honestly earned, but this thread doesnt seem like a problem to me.

Would make sense. RCT, if i remember right, was like the only guy ever to be banned from Woolly for being a douche. And you of course backstabbed Woolly and got the site taken down. You will always be a cancer.

I was banned from Tiresports and I was suspended from TiderInsider but Rodney reinstated me just prior to my annual renewal :-), i think BOL suspended me but im not certain.

I was never banned from Woolyal.

My whole problem on these boards has pretty much been about Mike Shula and Hurts/Tua controversy. I'm both cases I was outspoken in my opinion which caused certain haters to start hounding me and to shower my threads with verbal abuse and profanity. That would lead me to be combative in self defense which led to calls for banning me.

I am proud to this day of supporting Tua and being one of the early ones to call for Shula's head.

I am neither a troll nor a alt. I am a lifelong Bama fan and I love you all very much.

His family to you? Are you threatening him RCT?

Do we need to get authorities involved?

I did find this: The quote form Colin Peek about his hip injury seems fishy. Here's the endorsement by Peek:

"“As a tight end for University of Alabama football, I suffered a torn hip muscle. I needed to get back in the game fast. I did my research and found Dr. Kevin Murphy. Thanks to my arthroscopic hip surgery, I was back to playing college ball without pain! I am thankful that I selected Dr. Murphy as my surgeon.”

-Colin P., University of Alabama tight end

Peek's only year with Bama was 2009. The only games he missed were Tennessee, LSU, Miss State, were because of a knee injury.

Maybe he injured a hip during spring or fall practice.

I don't recall being banned at wooly. How the hell would you know?

I remember when wooly went down. I kept checking back to see if anything was happening. I wasn't banned.

And I was I indefinitely suspended on this board, not banned. If I had been banned, I wouldn't be here now.

Of course not because you are an idiot and get banned all the time so I get how you can't keep it straight. I remember you trolling the shite out of Wooly so bad it was literally unreadable.

You and AHM are trolls and have gotten the ban hammer from a couple of Bama sites. I don't really give a frick but you two clowns have been notorious for trolling and bans.

My God man. You've invested so much of yourself into these boards.

I think I understand you. I think I really feel what you are feeling.

I'm not your enemy my friend. In fact, I'm feeling pretty close to you right now.

Let's start over. My name is RCT. It's a pleasure meeting you.

Dude quit being a drama queen and a pussy.

You’ve made some dumbass posts lately so now ppl see your name and downvote and flame you because you’ve displayed thin skin and noticible whine. Just quit posting for a bit and ease back into the community. Stop taking opposing views personal.

I have reached my RCT limit. If it weren’t Christmas, I’d have a shorter fuse, but I imagine he’ll be gone soon enough. He has zero self control and needs to stir the pot every week or so, so he’ll make it easy.

One of my best friends is an Orthopedic Surgeon, and we talked at length about this procedure. He said, in summation, that bringing the Tibia and Fibula closer together for a few weeks removed the tension from the principal damaged ligament in a high ankle sprain, thereby allowing the injury to heal faster.

He painted the procedure in the light of being on the cutting edge of healing technology, and indicated that it would very much allow this injury to heal faster. Not a negative word was said about the procedure.

This radio doctor and this thread are much ado about nothing.

One of my best friends is an Amazonian voodoo doctor. His take is that the procedure is totally safe as long as Tua sprinkled some virgin blood on his ankle first and then ate 3 live monkey brains, followed up a week later with 4 chicken sacrifices.

Knowing our attention to detail, I'm sure the football staff has been doing these things.

I didn’t notice apparently the other threads but I thought this thread was interesting. I wouldn’t fault you for starting it, but I’m also in medicine.
