If you’ve ever heard DeBoer speak in person, you could easily come away with the same feeling. He speaks with no purpose.

I think DeBoer deserves a chance to right the ship so I’m not for running him off right now, but the reality is this evaporated everything good that happened this season and I don’t think he merits an extension.

This.

I pray an extension hasn't already been signed...but I do support DeBoer going into 2026. I'd feel a whole lot better if he fired Grubb tomorrow and said our offensive performance was unacceptable.

It's this "hire my buddies and make them millions too" BS that really concerns me. There is absolutely no rational reason to retain Grubb...or the OL coach...whoever that sob is.

Make no nonsense changes immediately and I'd feel alot better about DeBoer.

You could make an argument for cleaning house on offense given what happened this year. However, continuity somewhere is useful and I'm guessing OC is the best choice for that unfortunately because the RBC and OLC really got to fricking go. Replacing the whole offensive staff sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

Go hire an High school offensive staff. Complete from OC to OL to RB coaches.

Pretty sure they will come tomorrow for a 6 figure salary. And the product they produce will be no worse than what we saw this year.

I did a quick search...best G5 conference (AAC)...best offense in that conference (North Texas)...and who their OC was...Jordan Davis.

Who was just hired as OC at East Carolina...who we play in game 1 in 2026 lol.

You have a right to you opinion, but I 100% disagree. I understand enough about human behavior to know he has shown us who he is.

You'd take a guy with a 27-20 career record in the ACC? May as well keep Deboer or go for Dabo. At least the latter actually averages more than 7 wins a season in the same conference.

Not going to argue with you about it. We hired him for three years, he should get three years.

There’s 120 + plus teams in FBS who’d love to have our run… not defending DeBoer or the loss but I’m hoping changes are made and we can move forward. Today was really bad.

We can fix two things at once.

Hire the new OC at East Carolina.

Now East Carolina could be a probable win.

Yeah, you pretty much summed my feelings up.

Unless some serious changes are made to the staff and DeBoer's general approach to coaching football, then we arent winning any championships. We will most likely be pretty good, good enough to make the playoffs most years, but we'll take at least one arse kicking, probably 2 every season.

I definitely hope I'm dead wrong, but after an arse kicking like that, its hard to feel much different. Things could be worse for sure, but they should be better. Much better.

Probably. I could see him being bought out mid season if we see the same shite next year.

We were a loss to Auburn away from a very different conversation. I believe he'd be at Michigan and we'd be hiring a new coach.

Just dont see Kalen being the right one at this point.

That Auburn game may have been a win and a loss.

Auburn wasn't a great team but they were not a bad team. They lost 7 one score games...

DeBoer is a finesse guy... end of story.

Nothing that this Bama fan hates more than finesse football. I hated it when Curry was our coach and I hate it now. Damnit we are Alabama! We impose our will against our opponents. Not get our arse kicked by a damn basketball school that just decided that football is more important.

Have no problem being a finesse team if we’re damn good at it. We’re not even finesse. The best description of our offense is discombobulated.

How much would Cignetti cost?

5 years ago I would be all for this, but Indiana is still new money, and it’s going to be a huge challenge to sustain their success. Cig is a straight up old school, badass Saban-type football coach, but those guys have had issues in the new world. How will he handle it when his best players walk into his office and say they need $X or they are leaving? I feel like he’s coming up on the crossroads of whether or not he wants to play the new game.
