For a moment I thought Oats was allergic to international recruiting.

He's playing high school ball in Massachusetts. If we want to go international, we need to hire someone with international experience. Too bad Richard Hendrix got into broadcasting instead of coaching.

Any word on Samuels? I was hoping he'd have committed by now.

New assistant Chris Fleming has coached all over Europe, including being head coach of the German national team.

More “Bethea is getting used to our defense” as if anyone is playing good defense.

I am sad.

On a brighter note, not that anyone cares. The women's team beat #7 Kentucky and is now ranked #21. They are 16-1 for the year with the only loss being to South Carolina

What ever they are doing in practice is wearing these kids down.

We looked so fresh in the Kentucky game, I think that had to do with playing some easy games before them.

With the SEC grind plus his practices we look tired.

Yeah, I don't understand this. Our defense is laughably bad as it is, and Bethea's rebounding rate alone makes up for whatever assignments he misses defensively.

One of if not the biggest bust in Oats tenure.

Lol, I remember watching his highlights and thinking we actually got something. Shows how little I know about basketball

THIS! I’ve watched him all year and he is not afraid to get in there for boards. Watch on our or other teams free throws for the 2.5 minutes he’s in. He somehow is always in position to box out. He’s instinctively a great rebounder for a guard.

Not that we’re looking for rebounding help or anything.

ive been thinking this also. late in multiple games we leave to many shots short. iirc thats a tell tell sign of tired legs.

Feel a lot better about the Texas loss after they kicked Vandy's arse last night.
