I was channel surfing before bed last night and caught the 2nd half of this game on SEC Network. Man, I had forgotten what a lethal combo Lacey and Yeldon were!
We were a downhill running football team. So much talent on both sides of the ball. We've been spoiled so much lately that you forget some of the great teams. That was a great Bama Team!

That was your de facto national championship game that year. Georgia would have beaten Notre Dame.

Todd Gurley was a grown man in that game.

After 2008, 2012, and 2017, how Georgia doesn't hate Alabama worse than LSU hates Alabama is a mystery to me.

It is funny how Alabama consistently beats Georgia in the most soul crushing ways and in the biggest games of the year.

Todd Gurley is among the best opposing running backs that Alabama has played against. Darren McFadden is the best but Gurley is not far behind.

Hopefully the trend continues this year. I'm not totally sold on J.T. Daniels at QB and Kirby as a head coach. He's a terrific recruiter but average game day coach.

One of life’s great pleasures, IMO.

All hail Jesse Williams making a HUGE 3rd down stop on a bad knee late in the game.

Our run game back then was what made play action from AJ to Amari & Co. so devastating.

We've taken so much from UGA and LSU over the past decade or so.

I wouldn't include 08. That was an arse whipping. We had another one in the rain at their house after losing to Ole Miss that was about as bad.

But it can't hurt as bad as the 2018 SECCG with Hurts leading the comeback. So I'd say 2012, 2017, and 2018.

Between the CFPNC game and the SECCG Alabama lead for a grand total of 1 minute and 4 seconds and won both games over UGA

Was talking with my dad about this game last night. Loudest stadium I've ever heard when Olgetree took that blocked field goal to the house. I still think we picked that damn ball off too!

I think it probably hit the ground when Dee didn't have a hand under it, but unless the replay booth saw an angle they didn't show on TV there was nothing clear enough to overturn the call.

My favorite part of that game, and the one that has always stuck with me, was after we got the ball back from that blocked FG TD with like 5 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter down by 11. On first down we kinda got stuffed for a short gain and Fluker just started going off on everyone. After that we rammed the ball down their fricking throats. I think we ran it like 12 of the next 13 plays or something and we were just gashing them for 10, 15, 25 yards at a time. Credit to that UGA team though. Most opponents would have broken after that, but they came back and scored again.

Oh they for sure hate us, don't just use this site to set your opinion. The Georgia fans I interact with in real life have a different kind of hate for Alabama. They had us beat in both 2018 games and we still won late the in games.
