It's actually Coleman Coliseum that I look forward to the most getting an overhaul. Please hurry up.

But I always enjoy the new modifications that have made BDS such a jewel. For any of us that would make our way to the Stadium during the coach Bryant era knows that we have pulled off an aesthetically pleasing miracle. We were the only college team that had a two-tone green artificial turf football field. It was a bad look.

Originally, I thought it was a bit overkill when this latest original design came out. We seemed to be heading toward our version of Six Flags Over Tuscaloosa. But smarter thinking has prevailed and the new modifications should be a winner. I especially like the new scoreboards.

First new video board up. It's larger and clearer than the previous ones.

Greg Byrne

Old one for perspective.

So glad they decided to just upgrade the corner boards rather than stick the monster board in the south upper deck.

I still think it's possible to have created a Jerry World like above the playing field jumbo Tron.

I just dont want something like that at Bryant Denny. I like that our stadium is nice and upgraded, but the fan’s focus is still directed towards the field.

Ive been to Jerry World, and to Jordan Hare after the jumbotron, and at both stadiums the giant screens steal your focus and you cant help your eyes drifting from the field of play.

Well, they are spending $115 million on basketball in 2022 to completely gut Coleman and lose 4,000 seats.

It's actually next year, after the season.

Roughly 14 months from now.
