Former NFL RB Darren McFadden Is Going To Jail
© Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Former Dallas Cowboys star RB Darren McFadden after pleading guilty in his drunken Whataburger case...
quote:

...back in January 2019, cops say McFadden was asleep at the wheel of his 2019 GMC Yukon in the drive-thru of a Whataburger in Texas.

Officials say after officers confronted him, McFadden resisted ... and in the scuffle, Darren's driver's side and passenger windows were smashed in.

Authorities eventually hit McFadden with charges of resisting arrest and DWI with a BAC of greater than or equal to .15 ... but we've learned the 32-year-old reached a plea deal last week to close out the case.
...
As for his punishment in the deal with prosecutors ... court docs show he's been ordered to spend 4 days in jail, although he did receive credit for 1 day of time served.

McFadden was also forced to pay fines and fees as part of the agreement ... and his driver's license will be suspended for 90 days.

Sad. Was one of the most talented running backs I have ever seen. Obviously terrible judgment from the start though, going to Arkansas and all.

You could place this outside of the bar with any drunk guy and a security guard and it's the same thing. Guess if you were famous at any time something as small as this makes the news.

What punishment does a non celeb get for driving drunk and fighting multiple cops? 4 days seems kind of light.

I could understand falling asleep waiting on a Popeyes three piece, but Whataburger is pretty quick. McFadden was always very fast, so fast asleep at Whataburger may not be as hard for him.

you haven't been to the one in Birmingham on 280 - makes Popeye's DT look like Chick-fil-a

I’ve been to the What a burger on 280. Never actually made it to the speaker to order though. I eventually gave up and dipped out of the line.

3 days in jail? Just kill a weekend and be done with it. He could sleep most of that time.

LOL! This reminds me of a BIL of mine years ago. He went through the drive through at a Wendy's and managed to place an order but passed out before he could get to the window. When the police showed up and told him to get out the car, he responded by telling them to get him the fk out. They did

It’s jail, not prison. And DM the last guy to get that kinda treatment in prison. My guess is he can fight very well.
