If he retires good for him. His body was never made to withstand football and he's got to think about the rest of his life. He's got two knees that are gonna have to be replaced in about 10 years and has already had a hip that is pretty much titanium. I'm not even talking about the head injuries.

"Healthy and ready" Can't imagine that he will ever be, in the true sense of the words.

Reminds me of Eric Lindros situation back in the 90’s. He ended up retiring.

The young always think they are invincible. Some of the old heads need to reach out to this guy and tell them how much they are struggling due to repeated concussions.

The league needs to save this guy from himself and not let him play anymore. He’s gonna make Ali’s last years look healthy by the time he’s 50.

The NFLPA would sue the pants off the NFL if there was some sort of forced retirement. The CBA is pretty much set up to where it is the players prerogative when they retire. Unless a player violate rules in that agreement, the NFL will have to allow you to provide services to any team that wants them. And if the teams collude to freeze you out, that is another issue. The NFL is going to sit back and let a player do whatever they want to their own body as long as they are within the acceptable limits set by that board of neurologist. I'm not sure the NFL is all that concerned about a player's health if the player isn't concerned.

He is just a pawn in the bigger picture. If they retire him, he is owed his full contract. If he retires on his own, he gets nothing. If the NFL cared about player safety, their contracts would reflect it.

That poor guy is as fragile as glass. He is going to get himself killed, or at a minimum a very serious case of CTE.

I won't believe any announcements until I hear them from Tua himself.

Seeing stars too. He needs to wait before making a decision.

I blame the NFL. No reason for him to ever be allowed to play.
It wasn't even a hard hit

I thought it was pretty substantial - not on purpose, but because he didn't slide. DB was just playing his position - got to stop his forward progress if he is going for it.
I saw no intent to harm at all.

Making a major life decision while dealing with a head injury shouldn't be the final decision

needs to be required to meet some people who didn't heed the warnings and end up as vegetables.
