“This is football when full speed equals zero injury!”

Ahhhh so that’s why my dad died in his car wreck. He wasn’t going fast enough!

Blood Alley Drill. did that in HS in the 70's along with Bull in the Ring. We did another one I dont remember the name where we had to stand between two blocking dummies and shed a blocker and then get hit with a RB at full speed.

Jason Brown talks about other coaches and using restraint when he believes a cigar, a hot tub and a Netflix documentary was the pinnacle of JUCO success!

Geez I'm glad I got to enjoy football before all the Karen's on the twatter and in the comments got their way. Toughen up buttercups.

Coach Jason Brown is one stupid jerkwad. A prime example of all brawn and no brain.

Reminds me of doing “cross the bow” back in middle school

This is an idiotic drill, like Bull in the Ring, concussions will happen and season ending injuries are just a torn ACL away.

stupid drill. Letting guys hit a bit in practice is ok, but that drill is an invitation to injury. If it takes a drill like that to motivate your players, maybe you recruited the wrong guys.

It isn't a stupid drill because of the risk of injury; it is a stupid drill because it doesn't teach you anything. It is a scenario that is rarely, if ever, going to happen in a game. When are you going to have a free running ball carrier, ten yards from the endzone with no blockers, and three defenders at the back of the end zone waiting to run to him? Put blockers in there and challenge both sides to get and stop a touchdown.

It's tackle football. There is no way to avoid injury. Go full speed in practice, get injured then. Or, get injured going full speed in a game without having gone full speed in practice. When someone chooses to play tackle football, that's the risk he accepts.

It’s FCS. You can’t afford injuries because of the drop off in talent and experience from your 1’s and everyone else. And yeah there are proven ways to mitigate injuries. Stretching for example. And yes, you accept the risk to get injured, doesn’t mean you are obligated to do stupid shite that raises your chances of sustaining a major injury that sticks with you far after your playing days since they will most likely end after college.

That’s retarded bring back bull in the ring
