Save to say Columbus radio host Mike Ricordati isn't a fan of ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit...

Ill give you guys more insight into this. Mile here used to work with Herbie at this same radio station for years. Kirk got his old co-host and best friend fired and it was national news about 10 years ago or so. Mike has never liked Kirk because he was a jerk to everyone in Columbus and at the radio station. There’s abunch of dirt and behind the scenes stuff between them but they have never aired out the dirty laundry. So this isnt some random radio host, they hate each other.

Fun fact: Herbie moved out of Ohio about 10 years ago because Buckeye fans were so awful

Went with my T-Sip buddy years ago to watch Vince Young break some hearts in Columbus. As an SEC guy I've def got my issues with particular fanbases but I've honestly never seen anything like it. Before they game even started they were trying to pick fights, throwing water bottles, cursing at anyone with an orange shirt (including women and kids). Maybe that was just a bad day but I flew home thinking that OSU fans are the very worst in CFB.

The obsession of the media about honoring his dead dog is weird. People's dogs die all the time and there is nothing more special about Kirk's dog than most family dogs. Get over yourself. We don't need a statue of his dead dog.

I like dogs. But I'm tired of seeing/hearing about his dogs.

I mean he might not be my top pick to grab a beer with, but Herbie > most announcers on ESPN

If what this guy says is true, the whole ‘dog’ angle on GAMEDAY makes more sense.. ‘hey everyone thinks this guys an a-hole, let’s fix that’… espn PR machine doing work, as usual

look, we all love dogs, but it's very odd for Herbie to bring his dog on business trips and have him on set for Game Day and in the stadium booth. Reminds me of the silly women who bring their dogs into the grocery store with them. (Not service dogs, of course - those are different).

It is hard to stomach Herbstreit. He is so desperate now, he has to bring a dog onto the show in order to get attention. Frig' him!!
