Tuesday night, a game at the Double-A level reignited the debate again. The Hartford Yard Goats, leading 3-0 against the Trenton Thunder, had a no-hitter going between three pitchers and one out in the ninth inning.
Thunder batter Matt Lipka decided to try a bunt and laid it down perfectly. He posted the first hit of the game for his team.
Predictably, the Yard Goats were not thrilled with his decision. The benches cleared, but it doesn’t look like anyone threw any haymakers.
