He was one of those kids who committed to LSU but was never coming to school. He was probably making sure he had negotiation powers and a backup plan if he didn't like the team that drafted him

Will Wades Style & Why We Should Not Care About Losing Recruits Right Now

I keep seeing all these transfers leaving or changing their minds about LSU but that’s not an issue. In fact, it makes me even more excited to see what happens after April 9th when the Tranfer Portal opens
That said, if you were wondering what types he recruits and what not, keep reading.
Shot Creating Guards
- Aggressive Guards that can score in any system on any team.
- Pick and Roll Guards
Ex: Tremont Waters, Cam Thomas, Jalen Crutcher
Long Athletic Wings
- Length and Athleticism Over Pure Skill
- Long Wings (6’6” to 6’9”)
- Tools Come First, Scoring is a Bonus
Ex: Darius Days, Tari Eason, Vince Williams Jr
Experienced Transfers (Ready-Made)
- Ready-to-Play Older Guys Who Can Produce Quickly
Ex: Xavier Pinson, Kendal Coleman
Rim Running Shot Blockers
- Bigs that Protect the Rim and Finish Lobs
- Not Post-Heavy
Ex: Naz Reid, Trendon Watford, Mo Alie-Cox
Offense
Style: Spacing + Ball Screens + Let Best Scorers Create
- Pick-and-Roll Heavy: Offense runs through ball screens and guard decisions
- Drive & Kick: Attack the Paint — Collapse the Defense — Kick Out for 3
- Isolation Freedom: Allows Top Players to Create 1-on-1’s, Especially Late in Games
- Opportunistic Transition: Push When Available, Not Reckless
Defense
- Man-to-Man Base: Straight Man Defense with Focus on Contests
- Switching with Length: Uses Athletic Wings to Switch and Disrupt
- Rim Protection: Bigs Clean Up Mistakes and Protect the Paint

LSU Baseball Stats & Rankings (thru 3/29) *SEC Only Stats too
Posted by tadelatt on 3/30/26 at 1:28 pm
After looking at these stats, it doesn't feel quite as bad with a 19-10 record. Honestly, it is probably the worst we have been in the first 29 games in a long time, however, it seems to be bad luck.
Look at the stats and you will see how it is impossible for a team to score as many runs as we do and strikeout way more batters in SEC only games than anyone else and not win games unless you are walking too many batters and we are def doing that. If we can get those walks under control, things change and we honestly would be 7-2 in SEC. Walks lost use those games

Baseball: How is Arkansas still ranked top ten?

Leadership…where are you?

They are going through the motions. No
Excitement unless they hit a homer.
Guidry shouldn’t have to be the leader, we need an everyday player to take over.

Wow, baseball experts giving up after 3?
No because no one cares about the score until the game is over
Obligatory Fairweather Fan Meltdown Thread

The greatest quote I ever heard about baseball completely changed the way I looked at the game for the rest of my life.
“Every team’s going to win 54 games, every team’s going to lose 54 games, it’s what you do with the other 54 games that counts.” - Sam Seaborn, The West Wing
That has also been the quote in my profile since I came to TD.
Lot of baseball to be played and this game isn’t over yet.

re: NC State insiders are concerned about Will Wade returning to LSU

FYI, LSU devours NC State in the NIL game. We are easily Top Ten in most sports and they are 25th in football spending
If you are watching the game, that last play shows you everything
8 seconds left in a tie game, on the road, against Ole Miss…one guy reaches out for it, can’t grab it, 3 guys watch while 3 ole Miss guys DOVE for it
It’s effort
It’s pride
It’s coaching
He is responsible for the environment and culture

No teamwork
We have no legit center. We are small. We have five guards that all want to take off when the other team shoots.
They watch the game like guards usually do so they can see where the fast break is going to go.
It’s the head coaches job to fix that. No excuses. Go recruit a guy who is massive and knows how to rebound. He doesn’t have to even score, just block and rebound
Since he got to LSU, only one player in his entire tenure here, has averaged more than 7 rebounds a game. Only one. Never had anyone come close to double digit boards

Bumping this thread cause this was a day before the rumor mill started spreading Wade to LSU as a legitimate thing
You can’t honestly make me think Yorke won’t crush one onto Nicholson before the year ends.

I Missed These Midweek Meltdowns
Posted by tadelatt on 2/24/26 at 9:57 pm
I’m feeling so nostalgic. It feels like Paul Manieri came back and was coaching us again.
Remember those days? When we would lose midweek games and posters would meltdown trying to convince fans that they were watching the end of LSU baseball or that we wasted money on stadium additions that will destroy us now that we lost a game on Wednesday night to La Tech
I miss those days

Even with those accolades, LSU fans will never cheer for Gators. When Alabama and Florida play each other I put on ESPN8 and watch Dodgeball
Quick question: after really watching dodgeball today, How the frick do these guys make these teams and end up on ESPN? The games are mostly them not dodging the ball or not even knowing that you have to catch it with your hands not your body.

How can you consistently bring in talented recruits, be ranked in the top 25 and yet still end up this bad? Coaching
