Former LSU star Tyrann Mathieu took a trip over to Missouri, TX this week to surprise the state bound Fort Bend Marshall High School football team with an uplifting talk after their senior safety teammate Drew Conley was tragically shot and killed in a family dispute last week.

Fort Bend Marshall will take on Aledo in the 5A DII Texas High School Football Championship Friday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington TX.

Aledo is going for its eighth state championship while Fort Bend Marshall is going for their first.

We'll be pulling for you, Fort Bend Marshall.

Remember his public service-motivated video he was in where he put himself in a hot car in Arizona to show how fast he got hot and how it's so dangerous for children and pets. Pretty cool imo.

Lot of people are still mad at him for being stupid and getting kicked off the team. Had Les miles kept it under the rug and he played that extra year who knows the results but by Les kicking him off the team i believe it made him the man he is today. This guy will forever be a tiger in my book and should be mentioned as one of the all time great tigers!

Tons of former Tiger greats, but Im the most proud of you my man. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. And now look at you ! You have an incredible platform where you can positively impact peoples lives, because you’ve lived it & can now relate to others “up against it” .
